I realize there are more important things happening in the world other than Rocket Basketball or NCAA Basketball in general, but, has the NCAA actually decided on eligibility for athletes like Willie Jackson?

Just my opinion, but Willie returning is quite unlikely, and there is no reason to believe that Acunzo is healthy. Both forwards we desperately need.

Yes, the NCAA decided that seniors do not get an extra year. I'm not sure why people are still speculating about W. Jackson's return. I realize that things got messed up for him back in his transfer year, but his eligibility as a second-semester sophomore was determined then. I have not heard that Jackson has asked the NCAA to re-consider that determination, nor do I think the NCAA would change its mind if asked.

Even without Willie Jackson returning next season, the roster above is as athletic as I can remember a Toledo roster being! Now, the proof is in the pudding and we have to see how it translates into performance on the court -- not on paper. With that said, it looks like the Coaching Staff is going to have a lot of lineup flexibility to work with depending on certain opponents and situations. However, with 7 new players, a large part of our potential success next season is going to be predicated on how our team chemistry develops both on and off the court. No one can say this off season has been dull!

Chemistry is an issue, especially w no team activity. But if marreon is back our offense will flow. There's a local TV report this week w AJ. He's working out by himself outside savage. Looks fit and was doing some speed dribbling drills. I think if we can sign a grad transfer big and AJ can move around positions that will help us.

Willie posted long ago on his Instagram about signing with an agent to pursue pro-ball.

From the guys we have coming back there isn’t any athleticism that I can tell. Some good players but no real explosiveness, speed, quickness... guys can’t dunk in traffic, no quick spin moves... some very deliberate players. Tk will have shooters which is fun

6’10” former 4* Colin Castleton is leaving Michigan. Seems unlikely to end up here but we’ve had UM transfers before.

7'3" Haarms is immediate eligibilty out of Purdue, might as well think tall.
Get the kid from BG. He could use something on his resume in case the B-Ball doesn't work out.

Reported today on twitter that 6'3 G Petar Krivokapic has narrowed his choices down to FIU, UMBC, Lipscomb and Toledo. That's an ... umm ... interesting group to be in the running with. According to verbal commits, that means he has eliminated Jacksonville and Barry U (never heard of it.)
Says he will announce his choice on April 15, live on Instagram. Umm, ok.

Good! Another lightly recruited 6’3” guard. Hopefully, he’ll sign before we waste our schollie on a 7’ big man or a four to replace Willie.

Makes me wonder if one or more of the 3 verbal commits (Hill, Berry and Moss) is having 2nd thoughts. It looks like we'll have to wait and see what the roster looks like after April 15th... or later. The signing period runs from April 15 to Aug 1st.

I could be wrong and off base, but I think the ship has probably already sailed for Peter Krivokapic or any other guard with Toledo's verbal commitment from Norance Berry this past week. It is obvious with the known offers out there, that Toledo is concentrating their efforts on bringing in a Forward or Center with their last scholarship, i.e. Brandon Medley-Bacon, Zion Griffin, Cordell Pemsl, James Karnik, Mo Njie, etc. We could have an answer to who Toledo is going after with the last Schollie next week as the Spring Signing Period begins on April 15th.

Story on 6'7 Trevor Lakes from U Indianapolis who is looking to transfer. HS in Lebanon, IN. Toledo must be serious, cause it shows up twice in the list of schools showing interest Indy is a strong DII school, which has interestingly offered Etherington.
