Which is even more impressive knowing that Justin couldn’t shoot his way out of a paper bag when he first got here. He really worked on his shot.

So many memories!!
McClendon Really gave us great pub. Him and Reggie Miller and another person I think were mentioned in Sports Illustrated As shooters to watch before the first year of the three-point line. We were not used to that kind of press. LOVED HIM!!

Darnell - wow was he fun to watch !!
Same 4 Lazelle - He carried a big load as a senior. Not easy for someone who wasn’t a great dribbler. He still was awesome!.

I like the one post about streaky shooters. If Bobbit or NVE were hot, forget about it.

People of today will never understand the publicity of an article in Sports Illustrated. Without the internet, there was only so much media. I can still remember the picture of Roger shooting with a full moon in the background. It was a big deal.

Their percentages aren't as high as Field or Jenifer but they were asked to take more difficult shots. Logan as a Junior and Senior was the focus of the defense and creating most the offense for his teammates (even when Satterfield was still here this became Logan's team in conference play). I'd probably rank them 1. Durden 2. Logan 3. Burton.

Edit: I am limiting this to guys I watched extensively, so basically Huggins era going forward.

I remember Logan personally outscoring the entire Southern Miss (I think) squad.

Jennifer near 40% with JC carrying the load. Caupain over 40% his sophore year was much more impressive, for instance. Jacob Evans in the 2-seed year was money from 3 until he got hurt. JC the last two years was good too.

But I really don't think I watched anyone hit the type of shots Jaevin did (didn't want Huggins teams). He was taking those Warriors-type of looks where he was completely falling away from the perimeter and still hit a high clip.

Let's also not forget that the 3pt line was moved back over a foot this past year. So Jaevin is hitting shots at least 3ft deeper than a lot of the older players who were shooting 3s in their day. His difficulty of shots was also pretty high.

The transformation of his body was remarkable. When he arrived he was a doughboy and he left as buffed.
