ah, but if you count all the weeks between the national championship game and the start of the following season... FSU still leads.

Clemson is killing it right now. I can't take that away from them.

My only issue I have ever had with Clemson is their leadership has been as weak as FSU's when it comes to standing up to ACC crappy bball first leadership that has us dead last in payout.

That aside, Clemson is keeping the ACC afloat right now. Because without national titles in football, ACC is screwed.

Clemson "retired" James Barker and replaced him with an athletics friendly president in Jim Clements. Barker wanted to be the UNC of SC but he didn't want to cheat his ass off like UNC did both academically and athletically to make it happen. Clements knows that football is the straw that stirs the drink.

They also "retired" Terry Don Phillips and replaced him with Dan Radakovich. Georgia Tech screwed up when they let us take Dan away from them.

For the first time since the late 1980's IPTAY was able to flex their muscles in regards to Phillips. It's been a homerun so far under Radakovich, with the sole exception being Brad Brownell. I didn't like the hire at first because of what he did at GT, but it's hard to argue the results at Clemson. He's connected to IPTAY better than anyone since Bill McClellan in the early 1970's to mid 1980's.

And then Purdue let stupidity jump all over them and hired Michael Bobinski from Georgia Tech, allowing them to hire another competent ad, like Radakavich.

Purdue appeared to be on an upward trajectory, too...

Good info. Thanks.

Honestly, minus Dave Hart like 12 years ago, FSU is just as bad as Clemson in this area.
