The dominos are starting to Fall. All FBS and FCS football will most likely be moved to Spring, and maybe even basketball too. I don't say this just as an Ivy Leaguer myself, but many reporters are saying that college administrators highly value the decisions the Ivy League makes and often follow their lead.

Well, with the size of the Ivy, plenty of other teams will be looking for games too. Not sure it’ll matter but there’s options if we do play this season.

Those Ivy League schools are kinda smart.

I am bummed. It was the first time my alma mater Penn was going to play ODU. I did declare I would root for the Monarchs. Hopefully, I can see them play at the Palestra next year.

Who really thinks the football season is going to be played? Especially with football power states such as TX, FL, and CA spiking with COVID. I’m not renewing my season tickets until the deadline/July 24 because I agree significant dominos will fall between now and then.

Ivy schools are private and have a lot more money to burn on virtue signaling than most others. Not saying this for sure won't cascade, but it isn't that simple. A lot of schools will need massive bailouts or legislation allowing comingling of funds.

Could this shitshow be our way out of the rules on use of student fees for athletics? Does anyone at ODU have the stones to go lobby Richmond and, as our beloved Bobby Wilder would say, turn this setback into a comeback?

No basketball until at least January. The silver lining is that it gives Jason Wade more time to get fully healthy.

Not to change the subject but those light blue uniforms and the Old Dominion on the front sure do look good.

I had been wondering when they would reach out about renewing. If I had to guess, I would wager we don’t have a game before New Years.

Ugh. Considering our approach on Football, I am not feeling good. Only hope is that football was really a financial decision despite all the blather about protecting people, and the admin determines that basketball can be a money maker.

Guessing we will have basketball, but the OOC schedule will be cut out of it.

You might be right, but considering our conference mates are going to play football games in 10 days, maybe we have hope?

They're on sale right now! I think it's for like $20 less than they usually are.

RE: 2020-2021 Basketball Schedule
Basketball is a lot easier to contain than football, it would seem. Granted, if 5 people test positive, good luck haven't enough players to play.

I am rooting for a full season without fans. BUt, I think it is an uphill battle.

I have no info, just a shot in the dark guess.

I don't know how the schedule is going to work out, but there is a chance we'll be dancing.
