Oh for sure on that part. The only thing that could ensure less of them vote for the Dem nominee is forcing out Biden for someone who isn't even running. If they are going to do this I hope they go full mask off mode and just put in Killary. It would be so perfect.

It wouldn't even come to that. Cuomo has enough of a hard core progressive track record that he'd struggle to attract moderates. The RNC would only have to run against Cuomo's record and not have to play dirty pool. Just point out to the south and midwest the number of industries that have fled NYS during his regime due to increased taxes and regulations and he's toast in both places. Point out his hardcore anti-gun stance and he's toast in both of those places and out west except for the socialist enclaves on the coast.

That will hurt him in places like North Carolina and Florida that could be open to a Democrat with a more soothing pitch.

But no, in the sense that the media would gladly and tirelessly cover up Cuomo’s record on those issues. Biden’s mental deterioration is something that people can see with their own eyes and listen to with their own ears. There is simply no way to hide that from the audience. If this were before 2016 I would agree with you, but if Trump’s election showed us anything it’s the fact that the media can be effectively bypassed to get your message to the people.

True. And I believe Trump will, in fact, be able to do that again this year.

But in a lot of ways, Clinton was an easy mark for Trump. She had a 25-year track record of virtually constant lies and scandals and bullsh¡t while sitting on the very front row of national politics. That’s why the name “Crooked Hillary” immediately resonated with people, and not just the MAGA types. Cuomo presents some targets of opportunity, too — but nothing like that.
