I just hope that Penny handles any preseason hype differently, this year. None of this we want the smoke, crap.

Wasn’t this already settled? That only spring sports seniors could get an extra year of eligibility?

I hope they do give seniors an extra year of eligibility.

Why? They only missed the tournament. These are student athletes, right? If they are given another year, shouldn't we all be given something for things lost during this, right? And from whom?

Whenever you give somebody something for nothing, or allow someone to break a rule that others follow, it negatively affects an equal number of people. It would keep hundreds (maybe thousands?) of deserving high school seniors from a scholarship they worked hard for. What if your kid was a senior with a basketball scholarship for Northern Iowa, but the seniors are staying and your scholarship is now gone?

This covid 19 thing is sad and devastating for many, but it will pass in a few weeks. Some college kids missed playing in a tournament, so what.

Plus, it wouldn't help the Tigers, and that's more important anyway!

Well, if that is the case and you are not a hypocrite you will turn down that 1000 check they are sending to all working Americans, and if they come up with a vaccine you will turn that down as well, because you know, life is hard and you have to roll with it.

The Senate has already agreed to $1200 per adult who filed taxes last year plus $500.00 per child, and combined income is under $99,000 for 2 and $75,000 for a single. So if you, your spouse or your sig.other are living together and have 3 children that's $3900.00 for your household, IF Pelosi and Co. doesn't derail it in the next couple of days. Not trying to start a political thread here, but I'll be happy to debate it on the appropriate thread. Like Joe Friday always said,"Just the facts Mam, just the facts."

To each his own. I prefer to accomplish something before we start "swagging'.

Middle of the pack AAC, with a bunch of 4-stars and 5-stars, isn't swag worthy, in my opinion.

BS! We want the smoke! You can hide under a rock all you want. Confidence is the key.

If confidence were the key, we'd have gone undefeated this year, instead of losing 10 games, many to very mediocre teams.

His reasoning is half crazy; he has a very valid point about high school seniors being deprived of scholarships next season. Your reasoning is insane on every level.

- 285 out of 353 schools or 81% had played their last game and wouldn't have made the NCAA Tournament field.

- 319 out of 353 schools or 90% would have their season completed with no NCAA Tournament, or would have played 1 extra game (34 teams).

- 337 out of 353 schools or 95% would have their season completed with no NCAA Tournament, or would have played 1 extra game (34 teams), or 2 extra games (16 teams)

I concur that there is no reason to give basketball players another year. It sucks, but they played 90+% of their games. But, you didnt take into account missed conf tourney games, NIT, or CBx (whatever it is this year). 04-cheers

You are correct but it’s time for them to move on. They had at least 3 other years to do those things.
