The truth is narcissistic Donald never believed this was anything other than a political threat, so he had to be brought to the realization kicking and screaming; and I’m sure Fauchi cringed at Trump’s remarks about removing travel restrictions as early as next week. Hopefully, Fauchi will be available for remarks sometime today.

So basically there is reality and then there is the MSM agenda. No change whatsoever, even in time of crisis. Sad.

Trump's job is to provide people hope and help do what he can to minimize the economic effects.

The doctor does not have these concerns

I'd also add that there is more to it than what the media is telling you. Chloriquine phosphate has been one of several officially reccommended Covid 19 treatments in China since Feb 19th. It does have some side effects and patients must be carefully screeened for certain conditions before administering. There has also been a 130 person clinical trial they arent telling you about in China.

The reason the medication was became an interesting candidate is because Chinese doctors noted that people on the medication for other reasons, seemed to not get the virus even though everyone else in the family did get infected. That led to testing it as a treatment. So perhaps knowing this additional information is why the president is more hopeful than those who are simply looking the the small French study.

Let's say we send everyone who's in a "low risk group" back to work soon. Do we have a general idea of the hospitalization rate of those groups? While I do get and fully understand we can't quarantine for a year we also can't get in a situation where doctors have to choose who gets a ventilator and who doesn't, aka literal death panels. If medical experts believe we have the capacity to treat whatever percentage would require hospitalization if we all went back to work then that's fine, but I very much doubt that right now.

His job is to provide steady, unwavering leadership... leadership that can be trusted. I don’t care if it’s bad news, but I do want to know if his decisions are rooted in fact and not feel... particularly when confronting a topic he obviously knows little about.

I do not know what the doctor’s concerns are, but I have to imagine he understands the importance of maintaining his position on the team.
