They are saying most of the people here in the US with the virus are between the age of 20 and 44. That is like 40%. The bug seems to act differently here than in Europe. We have over 1000+ in serious or criticle conditions from this virus. Mainly the young. There are some with no underlining conditions.

I wonder if vaping has something to do with the different patient profile here.

Probably so, but I know 2 people in TN that are not smokers nor vapors and both are on ventilators. Now that says nothing of the 1000s that probably have it and are fine, but it only goes after old and sick people thing is looking like it's a myth

Mecklenburg County NC (Charlotte) will be on Stay at Home order starting Thursday through 04/16. Unreal, why not the whole state?

RE: States on Lockdown (Shelter In Place)
So far still no shelter in place in SC.
Law enforcement will disburse any crowds of three or larger in public areas.
Still takeout and delivery only from restaurants.
Public K-12 schools and public colleges and universities closed through at least April 30th.

RE: States on Lockdown (Shelter In Place)
My county (Buncombe County, NC) is apparently drawing up a shelter in place order. This is stupid.
You can:
1) Go to the store.
2) Go to a restaurant for pick-up or drive-thru.
3) Go to the park or hike on a trail, as long as you stay 6 feet away.
4) Go help friends in need.
You can't:
1) Go visit friends unnecessarily.
2) Visit people in the hospital or nursing home.
3) Go to work in an office if it isn't deemed an essential industry.
So... not much of a restriction, eh?

First death of a child in California from the virus and an 18 year old girl in the UK died from the virus as well. We are now starting to see children and teens dying from the virus.

Worst place is Dougherty County (Albany) and they are on shelter in place. Lots of counties have no cases.

Those are more than 10 deaths with a total of 132 new deaths overall with a new death in PR for them to go to 2 and the first death in Guam. That brings the total of deaths of US citizens to 548.
American Somoa and Northern Marinaras all have no cases of virus infected people and deaths. They locked down any travel from China from the start.
per https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
yesterday there were 10,168 new cases in the US.
6,393 of them were in California, New York or New Jersey (63%).
Today as of this posting, there are 9,144 new cases.
5,982 of them are from those 3 states (65%)
Now, could/will it take off in a bunch of other states? Possibly, but the big scary numbers don't look quite as scary when you realize 3 states account for nearly 50% of the cases across the entire nation.

The Democratic governors are quick to restrict people. I think Ohio and Indiana, two of the latest to do so, are the only lockdown states with Republican governors.

Won’t call it “Shelter in Place” prefers “Healthy at Home”...lol
Liquor stores are considered essential as reporter at press conference asked if they would be closing.

Stocked up yesterday eve myself. lol
if I buy 5 fifths in a day, do I get the neighborhood toilet paper award...

With the amount of variance seen in different countries, maybe doing like the Olympics and tossing out the worst (Italy) and least (SK?) might yield better data.

RE: States on Lockdown (Shelter In Place)
Denver Mayor announced yesterday a Stay at Home order, effective two minutes ago. Originally said liquor stores and marijuana outlets were to close. News choppers were showing the huge lines of folks at those places and the funny part was they were all about 6 feet apart! Social distancing. LOL
Our progressive governor surprisingly did not order this for the entire state - yet.

Perspective: There have been a total of 21,713 cases in the U. S. NOT located in the states of New York, Jersey and California. Basically the other 47 states and DC.
