Are they shooting for a family medical waiver or something?

I think people have guessed that from Kennedy's "immediate" comments, and Jemison's tweet about going back home because of COVID. I suspect quite a few folks will be playing the corona-card for transferring back closer home, to get their waiver. I know we were all surprised that Jeremiah Bell was eligible two years ago, and this looks like a better case than he had. I hope it works out for Jemison, and for UAB.

He's definitely not a power forward. He's a shooter, likes to spot up from three, and generally doesn't want to be inconvenienced by going into the paint. I'm good with that if he can stand out there and drain the three-ball.

I remember AK playing the same way. He wasn’t a power forward either.

We definitely need some more shooting on the team. Rotegard seems like she would fit that bill. Hopefully he'd be ready to play immediately

Based on the videos, the guy seems to have some basketball skills beside just shooting 3's ( passes well, gives it up when his teammate has a chance to score an easy 2). Might be an AK clone.

Averaged 14.4 and shot 41.5 from 3 in his last Euro youth championship. Poured in 19 against Portugal and 17 against Belarus. Only 16 against Iceland. Must have been unnerved by the Viking Clap.

If we sign him, do we have to bring back the Big Gay Viking mascot?

No. But we'd have to add smoked fish to the concession stand menu. That should be interesting

they already got those. they go by the name "hotdog"

The fact that LSU has a coach still in place who was recorded violating rules makes me doubt there is any chance of this.

that HBO special on the College Bball cheating scandal was unreal. Wade was recorded talking about cutting checks. The kid that took the fall said Wade was "gangster" and didn't care about getting caught and pushed back on the accusations and daring anybody to indict him.

everybody should watch that documentary if you got the HBO.

I really hope AK can get this guy. UAB has never had a Norwegian player. It would be worth serving lutefisk in Bartow (which would help with the whole social distance thing).

He even comes with his own theme song:

Smart kid. Hope he lands in Birmingham. AK could definitely develop this guy. His jump shot looks pure.

Me too. Hope he's part of a big turnaround there. Western IL program has been around since 1910.

We seem to be involved with Cheikh Faye, 6'6 JUCO wing from Chipola College - #76 ranked JUCO player. Had reportedly signed with EKU so I don't know where this recent interest comes from. Maybe they let him out of his commitment. Also, don't know if we have a spot available. Perhaps he's a backup to the kid from Norway...

He is from Senegal, and may have had some connection to Makhtar Gueye. He retweeted Gueye recently, for whatever that's worth.

Watching the video compilation that EKU tweeted of their signees, he looks pretty smooth, very athletic and has a nice shot. I wonder what the story is with EKU.

RE: Hoops recruiting
If we can get both Rotegard and Faye, that would be a nice way to round out the roster.

Also, pretty impressive recruiting class for EKU's Hamilton. He's a coach to keep on the short-list of future hires. They press and launch threes the entire game.
