Loeffler claiming the stock-trades were made by trustees that she does not know and don’t tell her what they do until after the fact — about 3 weeks after, in this case. I’m willing to wait for the all the facts here, but she needs to understand this has a huge stink to it and she’s going to need to put some real proof on the table. People are not in a trusting mood.

That sort of makes sense, I thought House and Senate had restrictions direct involvement with investments.

Was he getting reports that were available to the public?

Carlson said he was getting briefings on the subject that were not available to the public.
Sounds illegal to me

All or none. If any of the sales by these 4 republicans and Fienstien violate laws then they all have to be charged and removed.

Senator Jim Inhofe

Yeah sure....no sorry. Gotta win at the polls. 1 for 4. Bullshite. never let a tragedy go to waste. Try and convict them. Otherwise frick off

Exact reason I don't trust all the "drain the swamp" stuff. Draining the swamp means getting rid of all the criminal grifters, not just the ones on the opposite team. There's not a harsher critic of the DNC and establishment corporately owned Dems, but they don't have a monopoly on corruption and grifting. We really just have a 1 party system, the corporate party.

This is about the only thing that has me thinking it wouldnt' fall in the insider trading issue, but the optics basically apply the "government officials out for a quick buck".

If it was a general sell it’s hard to call it insider training. Now if they bought medical supply stocks and sold airlines that’s a different story. Let’s go with innocent until proven guilty

He should be thrown in jail.
Yes to both. All the senators in on this should.

The things that are especially damning for Burr is he sold $150k worth of shares in Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and $100k in shares of Extended Stay America. Wyndham's stock has dropped in value by 2/3 since he sold and Extended Stay by 1/2.

There’s this factor too. Without a smoking gun it’s hard to tie to insider info

Notice the word "if"? Always guilty until proven innocent, but I'm not willing to let this slide just because 4 of the 5 have an ® next to their names.

I've very much got a feeling if we really started digging we'd find a whole bunch of grifters on both sides who did this. Both teams are filled with hacks and criminals.

Insider trading and tips on real estate deals are how most of these goons show up in congress and leave with many millions more in the bank.

Harry Reid was the poster child.

This is why they fight like hell to keep their seat. Reason #853 why there should be hard and fast term limits.

Well is it 5 or is it 95? Feinstein is a very liberal Democrat with a brain and she's in her mid 80s so she won't be around long. They would love to have a young, brainless progressive. If there is one D the DNC and media would be willing to sacrifice, its her. With Manchin, they know he would be replaced by a Republican.

Just read this and I agree:

Quote:“I don’t care if you’re Republican or Democrat,” tweeted Charlie Kirk, a prominent conservative activist and chair of Students for Trump. “If you trade with inside info to enrich yourself during a crisis you are a disgrace. Resign, apologize, and donate all earnings to families of victims of China Virus.”
