Roster
Help me out and see if I got it right. Making some assumptions about each player's primary position. Obviously, some of them can slide over.
1 - Nowell
2 - Palermo, Stulic
3 - Coupet, Evans, Lukic
4 - Johnson, Bankston
5 - Maric, Monyyong
Also Besovic, Curtis, Agudah, but I assume they are walk-ons.
Who am I missing? That is everyone on the official roster, minus Lottie and Wyatt, and Dunkum and Pippins, who are seniors.
17 names on the roster, less two seniors, three walk-ons, two transfers. That leaves ten. So I guess we recruit three, unless one of the walk-ons gets a scholarship?
Regardless, it is obvious where we must have help. For once in our history we have plenty of size, especially if you throw in Besovic.

RE: Roster
No idea what the deal was with Admir. I thought he was an adequate back-up big man, but he did not even get in a game the last half of the season. He did not even get in the blowout games where Darrell put in the walk-ons. But, he played in too many games to redshirt. Doesn't make any sense to me. When I asked Darrell about him not playing, in some early games, he described him as a "great" kid, but he just did not match up with those teams. I assumed he was gone, but haven't seen him in the transfer portal yet. And why would Wyatt redshirt and then transfer. Just hope all the other players stay. I assume we will have a basketball season, next year, but who the hell knows at the moment. [/align]

RE: Roster
Keeping the kids focused in the off season may be a challenge.

RE: Roster
But let's assume that things eventually will roll on. So . . .
Here are the offers the VC is showing to be out to jucos and HS seniors at the moment:
PG - 2 Juco, 2 HS
SG - 1 Juco, 2 HS
SF - 2 HS
PF - 1 Juco, 1 HS
C - none
(We do have a number of offers out to HS juniors and sophomores.)

Who would Wyatt take minutes from? Johnson? Coupet? Evan's? Monyong? I am sure he wants to play but probably would not get in a game next year playing behind those guys.

RE: Roster
I figure Wyatt would be sitting behind Coupet and Lukic. Not much PT there.

RE: Roster
In regards to recruiting for next season. I would think it would be a tough sell to sign a juco point guard that would be a junior just like our All SBC point guard. Unless you find a guy that is happy to be a backup which is extremely rare. Hopefully we can bring in a HS player and develop him to be the heir after Nowell graduates. Also Marko played some point and with some work could spell Nowell for the 5-8 minutes a game he will be out. Ben is also a serviceable ball handler. Now if you’re talking injury and 40 minutes, then we definitely have a big hole to fill with Lottie leaving. I have no info but wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up at Oral Roberts like Deondre Burns. Solomon Bozeman is there and he had a hand recruiting Lottie for Wes.

RE: Roster
Nowell played a lot of 1 but he also played 2. I see we have an off out to marco morency, a 3 star pg juco from NY. He has 3 other offers from ulm, Robert morris and iona.
