When Trump, who a week or two ago said this was a hoax, is saying this crisis will go on until July or August it is getting really scary. Pappy mentioned that college football won't be affected, but now that is looking more and more questionable. Spring football practices are almost certainly cancelled. Will Fall practices, that usually start in August, actually take place? I'm not so sure. If that's the case, what happens to the coming football season. It appears like the NBA and NHL are done for the year. I think pro football camps start in July. That is certainly in doubt. Of course, sports are just a tiny part of this catastrophe, although it is a big part of all our lives (I'm talking primarily about the folks on this board). What's crazy, is sports is what I've always turned to for relief in times of stress or crisis. Now that option is not even available. And it has affected that entire globe, so ESPN can't even turn to showing sports events from other parts of the world.

Haven't even thought about the Summer Olympics. I think it is looking highly likely they will be cancelled or postponed.

Glad that hoax BS is over.

I wonder how many unexpected consequences there will be from this season. Like maybe players, who might not otherwise have done so, who go ahead and declare for the pros rather than piddle around with all the uncertainty.

I am curious to see how the administrators and coaches respond to this crisis long term. Who knows, we might take a hit early but things might be even better in the long run.
