So officially,
Memphis finished #1 in the NATION in FG Defensive Percentage. Our opponents only hit their shots against us at a rate of 36.1% of the time.
At least part of that is because Memphis ALSO finished #6 in the nation in Blocks per game, at 5.9.
I haven't looked it up, but I'll bet even the 2007-08 team wasn't that good on defense.
I know, I know, the turnovers, but I'm being positive here. Return that level of defense with more experience and we should be dangerous next year.
