They put her in isolation. She’s been tested and we both are on 48 hr quarantine until results. If positive we both will be locked down for 14 days. Negative? She’s still on lockdown but I can go out. Wild times we live in.

I'll say this....the Zpack is the shite in a pinch.....it's my number 1 go-to when my system goes 'south'....

if that didn't work, and oral antibiotics didn't work???

yeah, I'm not liking the options moving forward other than admittance and a rotation of IV antibiotics....

#goodLuck to the both of yaz!

Seattle cluster was a Chinese attack. That was that nasty lab grown virus they used to attack Italy and Iran with as well. The other virus going around is just the flu.

The wife and I both work for the same hospital system. I work on the corp side and she is an advanced clincal ICU nurse who has been working like crazy over the last few weeks.

One of her techs just tested positive and now my whole house is locked down until early April. So now my family, 4 kids included, get to sit and hope we dont contract the virus. If all clear after that she will hit the front line again...most likely when it is peaking in our region.

Ask for prayers for Louisville WR Corey Reed. He lost his father to COVID-19 in Atlanta yesterday. Corey Reed SR. was 43.

My sister's stepson has tested for the virus in Southern California. We're hopeful that it's just a bad flu and not Covid 19. He's in his mid-30's, and my sister is actually more concerned for his wife since she's had ongoing lung issues since she vapes (or did - I think after her scare last year, she finally gave up that nasty habit).

We've got 21 or 22 hospitalized at East Alabama Medical Center. 5 have died and nobody has recovered yet. I'm going to reserve judgment although I've lost ~$150,000 in stock values so far.

so roughly ~25% kill rate vs. a meaningless number.....

I saw more golf carts running with a disabled governor running ~30 mph with the median age at 13 with 4/cart, no seat belts, and within that 'majik 6 ft. guy'.............not on the golf course............. Ja!

Maybe but it's hitting pretty close to home. I heard that most were elderly and I know our WWII Medal of Honor winner was in ICU with COVID19. So statistically it's not a major threat to the general populace here, but some punk sneezing or coughing in your general direction is serious stuff for some of us. I'm sure TripleA might feel the same way.

I've been gardening, mowing, tending my blueberries and muscadines and giving the glare of death to any sniffler who passes by! I'd say it's a bit more than the usual get off my lawn!

But other than being ornery, hostile and mobile, I'm okay, at least until some sheisse for gray matter tries to use this board to make it about politics.

RE: COVID19 VIRUS: Cited News Only, Prayer Requests for Patients, No Commentary
Had our first death in my town from the virus. The man was 93, but pretty spry and you would never know by looking at him that he was that old. Huge, and I mean huge benefactor of the hospital, local college, and arts venues in town. Very generous and respected man. For this tight knit community it's going to hurt for a long time. Also spoke to my best friend Saturday to check in, and 1) her daughter is devastated because she's a senior in high school and may not get to attend her prom or graduation. And 2) found out that we only have 8 confirmed cases in the county, but 30 people are being treated in the local hospital and they are running out of beds. It will definitely spike this week once all of the tests come back. I've been blowing this thing off, but it's starting to hit a little close to home. I've been taking all of the necessary precautions, even working from home when I can, but I think this could just be the beginning.

From a business standpoint, I work in manufacturing (in sales), and we are still running. The problem is we can't ship. I have about 4mil of orders in process sitting on my desk, but can't bill unless it ships. Hopefully my client will help and pay some to at least get some of the money now. Just had to type it out.

A student at my daughter's university passed away on Friday from it.

The grandmother of my wife's close friend died on Saturday from it as well.

Several findings out of Europe confirm that both dogs and cats are catching the virus from owners and testing positive. I would assume that this means it is not wise for an infected family member quarantined in their room at the home to access the family pets as it is yet undetermined if the pets can infect the other persons in the family. It's possible that transmission might occur from touching fur that the infected has stroked.

We'll see.

I first heard about this with a dog testing positive in a family in Seattle which had the virus.

My childhood best friends pastor mentor passed last night. I didn’t know him but he appears to be relatively young.

Ugh...I thought they ruled this out. Is there a link to this story online?
