RE: 2020-21 BASKETBALL SEASONS
It’s not like we have a plethera of teams. How hard can it be to stagger 3-4 games?

I’d understand if wenhad more teams, equaling more games to play.

The ASUN league office and Ted Gumshoe suck.

Is it possible that they fear people getting exposed to COVID at one game & then bringing it to the other game, thus hurting four teams? So they're doing this to limit exposure? That's the only logic I can think of behind this decision.

It is highly unlikely that fans are going to be allowed to attend games.

If the ASUN, NCAA, or city does not permit this, then you're correct. However, Florida has been one of the most lax states throughout COVID, so it wouldn't take much for at least some fans to be at games in Jacksonville.

RE: 2020-21 BASKETBALL SEASONS
University of Louisville just announced they are going to have 3,000 people for each home game. That is about 15% of the capacity of the YUM! Center. If BU has the same kind of percentage it would mean somewhere around 320 in attendance. I will be first in line to get my seat!

RE: 2020-21 BASKETBALL SEASONS
I believe some fans will be in stands for basketball. It’ll just be a question of how many.

With Virginia’s stringent football policy, no more than 1,000, at an outdoor venue, I wonder what it’ll be for an indoor event?

6th for UNA seems a little low to me... I was thinking 3rd. I may be missing something.

RE: 2020-21 BASKETBALL SEASONS
BU just announced that they will be playing mens and womens basketball home games in historic Freedom Hall. Will allow 2700 fans in the 18,000+ arena during covid. But the agreement is for more than just this season. Looks like a permanent thing.

Heh. You beat me to it.

Makes sense, and hopefully this means we can all get in for the games, but I'm going to miss the "friendly confines."

P.S. Guess we won't be seeing further Knights Hall™ updates for the time being. Can we get Mark Lynn to spring for a fancy locker room at the new place?

Dude! That’s a cool opportunity. I get the pull of playing true home games at Knights Hall, but playing at such a great, history rich arena like Freedom Hall is huge. Hope it doesn’t seem too big or empty.

Probably an expectation of a major drop-off after last year's senior class.

I'm surprised we're ranked at the top of the ASUN, to be quite honest. I think we definitely have a shot to win the ASUN, but I would think we'd be ranked no higher than 2nd or 3rd in the conference going into the season until we prove ourselves.

I guess, and I understand dropping some, but dang.

Stetson? What am I missing that they should be receiving first place votes?

They have a good coach now.
They have some good returning players, with experience.
They showed dramatic improvement last year.
They have some good incoming players.
They beat Liberty last year and played them tough.
This conference is not good, so it’s not a stretch for them to be the best.
