NCAA Tournament cancelled. We are the Conference Champions. We'll hang a banner, but our guys won't play in the NCAA tournament. Really feel bad for the kids, which is still what they are to me.

All winter and spring sports as well. I guess that means baseball is also done for the year.

How much is the average share of a first round participant in the Dance?

That really goes to the conference to be divided more than individual teams.

They were going to take our $15000 fine out of our proceeds from the sun belt. Hope there are enough receipts to cover it or maybe they will forgive the debt due to Coronavirus.

Now how do you get the kids motivated going into off-season. It would have been a lot easier with something to hang your hat on.

I hope and pray there is a chance for them next year.

My wife says they are really down on Twitter. Like "what was the point of the whole season". Kind of agree with them.

There is no rational basis to believe that the fine will be forgiven by the conference.

Well our men and women not having to travel and stay in New Orleans certainly saved us some money. Also, luckily our women got sent to ULL, not too bad a trip. In a different scenario we could have ended up in Conway, SC or Boone, NC.

On the other hand, an NCAA tournament bid or a nice showing in the NIT (e.g. beating the hogs in Fayetteville) could have led to a spike in season ticket sales and/or a rise in donations from the Central Arkansas community. Seeing the city's team in the NCAA bracket, would do a ton more than simply winning the Sun Belt regular season title.

Could not have happened at a worse time in one regard: attendance at sporting events is already declining. Give fans a season or two to get further out of the habit, and things probably will get even worse. We can stay at home and watch "Great Games of the Past."
