Could Florida Atlantic Replace UConn?
If this were to happen, it would be way out in the future. FAU needs to improve a lot, especially in basketball. But the university’s size and strong academic standing and location certainly fits.

FAU only gets an invite if UCF leaves, we already have 2 FL schools. If UCF & usf leave then FAU & FIU get invites. Florida's to valuable a market to not have a footing in.

I disagree, I think there is room for 3 schools from Florida.

There’s no reason to water down our products and fau doesn’t have fans yet.

This. I also forget non-Floridians don't know the differences in the areas of Florida. FAU is in Boca which is on the Atlantic coast between West Palm & Miami. There is little interest in college sports from the population, most are retirees from the northeast. Hell most places aren't even open past 9. The best thing going for FAU is their AD comes from a family of freaking geniuses with college athletics. His dad is currently AD at Duke (was AD at Notre Dame), brother AD at UCF, brother basketball coach at UF, sister assistant AD at SMU.

SMU knows very well where Boca Raton is. Where Lane Kiffin was, and where Willie Taggart now is.

The more UCF and USF lose to FAU and FIU the wider the door opens for either of them, and there is definitely enough room for 3 Florida teams.

FAU is 1-6 against UCF & usf. Win against usf in 2013.
FIU is 2-6 against UCF & usf. Wins against UCF in 2011 & the 2015 disaster year.

Not sure where you think either team is racking up wins against UCF or usf.
