Dream big - perhaps one day!

I am semi retired, but have a part time job working about 20 hours a week. Being home the last three weeks I realize how much I really enjoy that work. My wife is still teaching and that is pretty interesting how that is being done. We have not had a youngin home for any length of time in 4 years and now two have shown up. One is in the music business in NY City and the other is in athletics at Duke. NOW, my wife and I have a pretty laid back schedule and can live pretty cheap, but now......... let's just say all that went out the window. I hope everyone stays healthy and we will be better off because of this. Have a great week my friends and please, oh please, let football be played this fall.

I was conditionally approved for a payroll protection loan that will cover 2.5 months of my payroll. If it comes through, thats awesome!

Would be impossible to do, because you would need everyone to be tested. Only thing you can do is put up is confirmed cases

They're not saying "died of COVID-19" anymore, they're saying "died with COVID-19"

Wondering how informative is the tested stat is? It seems like is a data point, but with so few being tested, does it provide much info. I know people not being tested, that should be. One former co worker tested positive, hospitalized, wife got sick and they wouldn't test her. They said, "just figure you're positive".

Hard to believe in just 4 weeks, the US went from 54 to 20,000.

It is weird. One of the first American couples on a cruise ship, in an inside room like 105 sq ft. The husband was very sick with Covid19 and she didn't get sick, together for three weeks. They were both in their 60's.

The testing stats are questionable. But no surprise over the numbers. This stuff is vicious

If you're on the tweeter, Trevor Bedford is an interesting read. He does some cool stuff with gene sequencing and strains/transmission, etc.

The most troubling aspect of all that has yet to be discussed on these boards are the reinfection rates being observed in South Korea right now.

That is bad bad bad news.

Not sure it's reinfection, but yes very bad if so. Might be a more reasonable explanation though. We'll see.
