RE: Democratic KY governor wants churches to close

Big difference than telling churches to shut down, I think this leaves the door open for a church to be able to minister to their members, either on a on-on-one basis, via streaming, etc.
Utah governor did the same thing. No gatherings of more than 100 people for at least 2 weeks. Applies to churches, concerts, events, and other gatherings.
Kids have a half day school tomorrow, but that was already on the schedule. But now, half days again for Monday and Tuesday. Word is they are training teachers on online schooling. There are also rumors that they may suspend school for 30-60 days and then extend into the summer after things start back up.
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has temporarily suspended all public worship services, leadership conferences, and local activities WORLDWIDE. April's general conference will be conducted via streaming and lots of missionary work has been suspended and temples closed.

If not, we could still see some of the doom and gloom predictions. But I don't think so.
Oh my gosh! 86 already? Kill me now. Heck, it's beautiful in El Paso. Partly cloudy and around 65 degrees with a slight chance of rain and no tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, landslides, etc. just sand. All we lack is the beach. Kidding about the sand, we have very fertile soil too, thus the farms just outside the city. You know like Liberals that don't know how good they have it, that's us El Pasoans when we think about our fair city.
It's getting too big though. *sigh*

My church in Georgia (large congregation) is closing for a couple of weeks. Leaders will assess the situation as we go. Nothing objectionable about Beshear’s statement.

RE: Democratic KY governor wants churches to close
I just wish our Idiot Box Governor would have let churches make their own decisions. There are churches in rural parts of Eastern Kentucky that don’t have running water and barely have electricity. They have no means of having online churches.
The biggest reason I wished Beshear had held his tongue is for many people in the hills of Kentucky, church and their church family are the only support many have. The older these folks are the more important that support group is.
