Sun Belt Tournament will be played- no admission for general public
There was serious discussion about cancelling it, but it appears they will play. Each team will be allowed a pass list of 150 fans who buy tickets in advance[/b]. That should cover us, and likely everyone else except probably South Alabama.

The "official" release from the Sun Belt sounds more restrictive. Apparently, some of us long-time fans are considered "family". They came very close to cancelling the tournament and naming us champions. We won the league by 2 games so they felt they could do it without a lot of controversy. However, in the end, they decided to play. Really not sure why.

It appears that the "150" covers staff, team officials, immediate family, etc., not fans. I know our band, and likely all bands, aren't going. I got the impression that a small number of fans, who get on an approved list, may be allowed in as well. I know one thing for sure- Don't go to New Orleans and expect to be able to buy a ticket at the door and get in.

That is a little strange. Those few fans are not going to make up the dollar difference, so the tournament will be a big money loser.

It's a money loser anyway. Only South Alabama would have brought a significant number of fans. ULL women are going, but I could count the fans at their home game last night on my fingers and toes.

Then why even bother with a limit on the fans per team? Just to make it look like you are trying to do something about the situation?
