FYI- NIU to have extra week of spring break
NIU has just announced an extra week of spring break, followed by 2 weeks of on-line classes, then back to face-to-face-instruction. Smart move by President Freeman, imo

An extra week to work or party. Life is good if you are a college student.

NIU will not be holding face-to-face meetings the rest of the semester. All spring classes will be finished on-line.

Wonder how many colleges actually go back to f2f this spring.

As someone who thinks F2F is 100x more enriching than online, this is sad for college students everywhere. F2F classes are where you have fun discussions, meet people, and in a perfect world make friends.

I think every college in the country is on-line at this point....The question is , who is going to be "the first back in the water" with the shark (virus) swimming out there?? Including NBA, MLB, NHL as well.....

I think once one does it all the rest will follow almost immediately.

A Chinese Pro basketball league is already flying their American players back out, announced a possible re-start of their season soon, with no crowds at first I believe.

Glad the source of our turmoil is rushing back to normal...

With China as the model of response, once you shut everything down hard things should be mostly over with in two months.

I would be surprised if any schools go back this year.

My money is on MLB, not sure if it's this season or the season after , but I could see MLB pushing the envelope over the others

I am thinking it will be more like 10 years. I plan on hunkering down in my house for 10 years. I have several cases of Red Hot Chicago dogs, wrapper papers, condiments, and buns. I just had my bun warmer tuned up, so I'm in good shape. My water faucet works, so I'm fine on water. I think I'm all set and don't need anything else. Oh.....wait a minute. Does anyone have any extra rolls of toilet paper and cans of Glade? 03-phew
