At this point, I am betting the entire NCAA Tourney to be cancelled within 24 hours
:(
These conference championship tournament cancellations are basically a message to the NCAA IMO.

As winner of the final game of the 2020 CUSA Tournament, I declare Marshall your 2020 Tournament Conference Champions!
Also, as winner of the final game of the college basketball season, I also declare Marshall your 2020 National Champions!
Two years in a row we’ve won the final game in the big tournament at the end! And y’all thought we were gonna struggle this year... :)

That is my expectation as well. I hate it for all the players that will be missing out on their one chance to play in the Big Dance.

Although, let’s see if they suspend the game at halftime or something like that.

I suppose that congratulations are due to North Texas as CUSA basketball champion. I regret that the corona virus will probably not allow the NCAA tournament to be held.
Congratulations on winning the CUSA Championship.

The champ is whoever is left standing when the tournament is over, so I think they are co-tournament champs. FIU getting a banner prepped right now.

Memphis one year finished in a five way tie for first one year and printed Championship tshirts. Eyes were rolled.
Having said that if Charlotte prints a shirt that says “CuSA champ”, I’d buy it but only wear it ironically.

Congrats to UNT for the Men's conference title, and to Rice for the Women's title.

I’m pretty sure if we moved the FAU campus to some crap hole town in the middle of nowhere we would at least double our attendance but I think we’d rather stay in Boca.
Winning some games would help as well. When we were winning under Jarvis the “arena” was full and fun. Of course it only holds about 3,500 but it was a fun environment.
You think moving out of a multi million person population center to one with a city of less than 50,000 people would help someone care about FAU enough to go to the games? I doubt it seriously.
But, alas, it doesn't matter because people are over reacting like nuts and cancelling everything we all care about. So no champ this season. I feel really bad for Dayton, they had a real shot to win it all this year.

Just a thought but could we not have the rest of March Madness in July hence July Madness. Of course this could only occur if the virus takes a summer break. Some would need to figure the logistics for this to happen but I'm sure this could if enough people wanted it to. I'll bet the players, coaches and fans would back it.

A lot of players will have signed pro contracts by then, no?

Good point. Would May or June work better? When's the draft?

Many schools' campuses are closed for the rest of the semester. Everything's in a state of suspended animation. Even if by some miracle we get an all-clear in, say, three weeks, it's not a turn-key operation. You have to get everyone back on campus, find facilities to host, and all the while we're not sure how long the NBA's hiatus is going to last.
Short of all the leaders of the world holding an April 1 press conference to announce that it was all part of history's greatest ruse, I'd forget about fantasy booking an earlier return to college sports. If anything, I'd be concerned about how next year will play out, either in terms of domino effect from this stoppage, or the possibility of another one in the fall.
