My company just now sent me an email canceling our national meeting in Nashville. Gee this is getting out of hand.

CBS and Turner are paying a large sum of money for the tournament, so the show will go on, even without a live audience. Gotta fill TV time and sell commercial spots.

Besides, this is the only time all year a lot of us watch TruTV.

The earlier rounds in big arenas will look weird, but the Final Four in an empty Mercedes-Benz Stadium is going to look awful.

This is really bad for everyone connected with the host cities and arenas.

The amount of work hosts put into preparing for this event is insane. Devastating for them.

Warrior and Shark home games for the rest of the season will be played before no fans either.

We in Santa Clara County are only allowed to go in to work with CEO approval. Fortunately many are in the tech industry, so working form home is a viable option for at least 25% of us here.

Well it is just starting to take off. A couple weeks might be more of a risk. Then again, both may be equally problematic.

Gov. DeWine forced their hand hours earlier.

Now, Emmert said that he, not the Board of Governor's made this decision, so how many other decisions is able to make unilaterally?

Because the flu has killed tens of thousands of people this year. If the media hyped the flu like they are with this virus, you would see even more people scared. Yet nobody has panicked that 70 million people got infected by the flu and killed some 50,000 people. Elderly and children are susceptible to the flu.
The flu has killed 30,000%+ more than the coronavirus

If this was going to be a pandemic, the whole city in China where it started of 11 million would have been affected. And the deaths would be in the millions.

There are already discussions to move the Final Four to a smaller venue.

How does the ticket sales effect the units prices for each school? I'm curious on how schools or conferences that rely on this payout is going to be effected. Would or could we see teams bow out early to save money on a possible losing venture?
