Also, people, there's a restaurant in the 'burg that is reportedly suffering a bit economically due to some anti-Asian feeling this thing has reportedly stirred up. https://www.whsv.com/content/news/Local-...25341.html The food is good. Help these nice folks out. Go get takeout or something, there or some other Chinese place. Thanks.

This isn't going away in China because it's naturally just curing itself. China imposed MASSIVE quarantines and restrictions, far past cancelling or postponing some sporting events. That's one of the main reasons they're seeing results.

03-lmfao China did go to extreme measures. Basically entire cities under house arrest. A lot of folks died because they couldn’t even get to a hospital, and it’s believed China has disposed of many bodies that weren’t counted in official stats. Appears a massive coverup of sorts, along with gov’t chasing down anyone who dared to speak of it.

Yep, there were giant sulphur spots on satellite, believed to be mass cremations. This was about a month ago.

Shane Mettlen reports nobody's answering at Elon, where the UNCW/Drexel game was supposed to tip off 10 minutes ago. No broadcast on FloSports.

Didn’t they suspend their football program about 5 years ago?

No scores being reported.

Looks like the glass ceiling might not have a shot of being broken this year.

Does that mean teams could not participate in the dance if they had it?

Dukester - there will be no dance this year.

Man

We might not have nba, NCAA tournament, or hockey for the rest of their seasons.

This feels a little similar to 911, but longer.

RE: Sorta OT: School closings
Feel really bad for Sean and the team. This was by far his best chance to get over the hump of winning the CAAT and now they won't even get the opportunity. I think if they end up having the tournament (which is getting less likely by the second with a second Jazz player confirmed positive and all conferences other than BE cancelling their tournaments), we may still have a chance at an at-large. We may even have a better shot at an at-large before because we won't have an extra loss (that assuming we hadn't won the CAAT). I would imagine the NCAA will make a determination in the next 24 hours whether they'll go ahead with fan-less tournaments or cancel them altogether.

He completely debunks the (ridiculous) warm weather theory.

Excellent podcast link Dirty, thanks!

It’s a long video, but goes very in-depth on more than just the weather aspects.

Obviously there are bigger concerns than this but man, imagine being a senior thinking you still had your conference tournament and now finding out you’ve played your last game.

I don't see any way the NCAATs will held now that the P5s have cancelled their Tournaments.

Now all Tournaments have been cancelled except the Big East continues to play. For now.

just posted that in the CAAT thread. I know it's way bigger than sports, but what a 24-hour period in the sports world. Unreal.

Looks to be like the might cancel the Creighton - St Johns game at halftime.

See no halftime lines.....

They were looking bad playing while everyone else canceled due to safety reasons.
