RE: UT classes canceled next Monday/Tuesday
All courses will be taught as distance learning only until March 30th...runs up to the 14 day incubation period for anyone traveled during Spring Break (up until the 16th). Residence Halls, Offices, Dining Halls, Recreation Center, etc. will remain open, but everyone is expected to restrict any unnecessary high risk activities.
Gov. Dewine just came out in his press conference telling all companies/offices to analyze whether they can have their employees work from home, and included that all Universities will be operating without in-person instruction until the end of March.

Drastic reaction make you (me) wonder if they don't know something they're not telling.
But I've seen this move. The Martians invade, devastate the country then fall prey to the corona virus. Or corona. One of the two. All in God's plan.

At this point it really doesn't matter whether reaction is drastic or unnecessary, decision has been made, leaving everyone to figure out how to deal with it

Add Cincinnati and Miami to the list of schools who are going to remote only. One thing to note, all of these institutions are still open and operating as normal, just classes will not be held in classrooms.

None are closed, all have regular business operations and open, they are all (and I suspect soon will include every public university in Ohio) moving to face to face lecture classes to virtual/remote instructional modes. BTW same is happening across the US at hundreds of institutions of higher education
