But I have give some credit to Western Michigan, especially Michael Flowers who would not let his team quit and rallied his team in both halves to make it a game. Hats off to the Big 3 (Jackson Jackson and Knapke), who combined for 65 points, 28 rebounds and 10 assists. The 3 of them played outstanding tonight. That was most aggressive I’ve seen Willie Jackson play on the offensive end! That tip in that put Toledo up by 3 was huge, but was typical of how relentless Jackson played tonight. However, even though we got 6 points off our bench which for Toledo this year is pretty good, we are going to need more than 5 points from our other 2 starters (Littleson (0) and Saunders (5). Anything can happen, just look at Miami beating Buffalo tonight. I like how Toledo is playing right now, especially our Big 3. Play like they’ve been playing the past 3 weeks, other than the NIU game, and they can make things very interesting in Cleveland.
Does beating BG down seem possible right now?!?! Even though we coasted tonight, I feel like the better team. I guess when a guy can't miss from three I feel invincible, and I'm never surprised when we suck it up... But BG made every big shot the last two times, and arguably won on two controversial fouls the last time.
We feel better right now. And that's from a naysayers position who doesn't love the coach.
BG last 6 games 3-3:
BG 77 @ BSU 71
BG 67 Ohio 66
BG 78 Akron 60
BG 55 @ Miami 73
BG 69 @ KENT 83
BG 84 UB 88
UT last 6 games 5-1:
UT 68 @ WMU 58
UT 93 @ CMU 89
UT 69 BSU 63
UT 50 @ NIU 71
UT 79 EMU 57
UT 76 WMU 73
UT has won 2 of our last 3 road games, BG lost 2 of their last 3 road games. BG is -10 the last 6 games. Toledo is +24.

And nobody else did anything! Got to get production from some other people.
Littleson worked so hard on defense he looked tired and tight on offense, if he can just knock down a couple shots early he might loosen up. I don't know about Saunders, some of his shots weren't even close to the hoop. You can see his potential but he still plays so out of control. TJ Smith only played 1 minute but Kowalczyl pointed out that if he can contribute just 2 or 3 baskets off the offensive boards it would be a big help - same goes for Maranka.

Also reported that Marreon broke Navigato's single season record for 3 pointers last night. He has 95.

MJ has had quite the year, and one left to go. Was thinking last night, how does he compare to Juice?

If he was surrounded with Juice level talent he’d be rated ahead of him, IMO. Juice had the “go to guy” attitude from jump street, though. I think it’s taken time for MJ to develop that.

Littleson DID work pretty hard on D...and Flowers still got his 30+. That says more about Flowers and his ability than it does about the D played by Littleson, though. He made shots I thought had no chance.
