Jerry Palm has Texas Tech as the 3rd team out
in his Bracketology. That seems hard for me to believe with their NET Ranking of 22. (Lunardi has them in the play-in game, so they are not that much different.)

On the other hand, their RPI is only 72, which in the past would have likely kept them out. We are 84 in the RPI, but only 141 in the NET Rankings. That is why we are seeded so low by most experts. An RPI of 84 would put us at more like a 13, or at worst, 14 seed. Seems to be a good example of how the new NET helps Power5 teams and hurts mid-majors. I thought I had some idea how the RPI works, but really don't know anything about the NET.

Back to the original point, I think Texas Tech gets in, but they might want to make sure they win their first game in the Big 12 tourney.
