At the end of the day...
...and despite all my whining during the regular season I'm proud of our very young team for playing thorough all the adversity they faced, including irrational fans like myself, and the way they never quit. There's always next year. GTG!

Unless we get put on post-season probation and the stink of that tanks the recruiting class as well......

RE: At the end of the day...
Here's what I think I know about Penny as a HC:
1.He's good with the media;
2.His teams play hard and with some discipline;
3.He has control of the locker room;
4.He has the players' respect;
5.He's a decent recruiter;
6.He has not hurt Precious' draft status. In fact, he may have improved it.
What I don't know is if Penny is a good enough in-game coach to coach up the current roster to a Sweet 16. And, I don't really know how talented this young team really is.
I also know that without Precious, we would be in a lot of trouble. Penny is going to need some height in the next recruiting class.
I like watching the effort of the team - especially on the defensive end. On the offensive end? I like watching the effort (and not necessarily the results, lol).

No one was coaching this roster as it currently stands to a sweet 16.

Good list. Penny does a lot of things right but as someone who has been a player, someone who has played with Penny several times and someone who has spent a considerable amount of time around coaches it's my opinion that Penny does not possess the skills necessary to effectively, efficiently coach a team. If he hires an assistant with a good coaching track record I think he could see multiple years as a coach with multiple NCAA tourney wins.

I think with the right personnel under him he could develop into a great coach.

That a fair assessment. Although he’s probably better than a descent recruiter. We shall see.

Interesting... every person who spends any time in practice with Penny, including other coaches, media, analysts, etc. come away impressed with the coaching skills Penny shows.
Arent you the guy who before Penny was hired was talking about how you used to play with him and he was too stupid to tie his own shoes?

I don’t think Penny is getting enough credit. With the adversity this team has faced this year, I think we have actually overachieved.

RE: At the end of the day...
Penny will be fine.
We lost both the #1 player in James and #45 player in DJ.
Rayjon Tucker would really have helped this team.
This season hasn't turned out how any of us hoped, especially our team. This team has been through so much this season and deserves our support no matter what happens next week.
I'm really proud of them. We will see how much of it was youth in the next year or two.

I remember someone saying that. Was it this guy? That would explain a lot. And it was obviously a bad take too.
