Our fee is $775. which means JMU has TRIPLE our fees. They also have 21,000 students paying those fees to our 16,500.

If you do straight math that's $50,400 vs. $12,787.

Also shows FCS football is not paying for itself at JMU

It never does. Most FBS programs don’t really make money, let alone FCS.

You beat me too it. And the football is good to the detriment of hoops!

RE: Student athletic fees
JMU was invited to join the Sun Belt Conference when Appalachian and Georgia Southern were. They declined, opting to join CUSA or stay in the CAA. No invitation ever came from CUSA.

The AAC may decide to replace Connecticut. JMU has the football fan base and stadium. ECU and Navy would benefit from having a close rival.

JMU can't raise student fees to pay for the move. How does ASU pay for FBS football with more reasonable fees?

App State has a reputation that allows them to garner pretty big paychecks to play P5 schools. USC paid them $900,000 for one game last year and UNC $500,000. They usually have at least two of those games on the schedule each year. Penn State paid App 1.2 million in 2018 and Georgia paid them $1 million last time they played.
