Who are these guys in the blue and gray? 6-0 Rice after 1 1/2. Rice with 8 hits and some truly terrific ABs by Beaulaurier, Comeaux, Gneitting, Cruz and Bulman. In the top of the 2nd, 6 consecutive Owls reached base with two outs.

Now, can the pitching hold on for another 8 innings?

Rice now up 7-0 in top of the 3rd. Comeaux is 3-3, and a HR short of the cycle. Tech on their 3rd pitcher in 3 innings.

On the down side, we already have 5 strikeouts.

Wow. TTU can hit so keep up the pressure. Great start in all phazes.

Brogdon already out due to escalated pitch count. Only gave up one hit (triple), but 6 walks in 3.2 IP. Cienfuegos trying to keep the score 8-2.

Tech coming back. 8-4 with no outs in the B5, as Cienfuego has given up BB, single, double to start the inning. Had 0-2 count on leadoff man, and walked him.

And so much for the big lead. 8-7 Rice heading to T6. Rice has given up only 4 hits (2 triples, 1 double), but the 8 walks and 1 HBP have killed us.

Rice with 10 strikeouts through 6 innings. Insane.

Offense is done for the day, so let’s hope that 8th run will be enough.

Nope. Already down 8-10 and Tech still batting in B6. Only 7 hits for Tech (2 doubles, 2 triples), but 10 walks. You can't win when you can't throw strikes.

12 runs wasn’t enough. That chafes, but at least the hitting was there.
