Corvid-19 & the 2020 FBS Season
Obviously peoples health and well being is the number 1 concern and worrying about football is way down the list, but this is a sports board, so...

That said, if the US doesn’t get its act together with better testing and containment I think there’s a good chance that we see games either canceled or played without fans this year. Unless it burns itself out first.

Don’t buy in to the media hype, be cautious yes, but don’t buy into the panic the media is spreading.

Corvid-19 & the 2020 FBS Season
I work for a hospital. I'm not overly concerned except for people 60 and over (just like the flu). I think ultimately we will find out that a lot more have had it and were never tested because they never had symptoms.

Somewhere around 3,000 dead in 3 months isn’t hype.

Overblown. Flu has killed many more every year. If you're old and compromised, stay home.

Will be a non-issue by May, much less football season.

How many do you think have died from the flu in 3 months?

North Carolina has had 26 flu deaths in the last 2 weeks.

Yea it's a more lethal flu (except in kids where the flu is much worse). It kills older people and those with compromised immune systems. I would bet many on this board wind up getting it, and some of you will not even know you had it.

The # of seniors that could die from this is terrifying though.

Hate to say it, but don't be overweight and keep in decent cardiovascular shape.

Too many way overweight people who don't move enough. Every year they are susceptible for flu and then pneumonia.

I am more worried for the strains of viruses that are antibiotic resistant because everyone runs to the doc for every sniffle and demands.

The flu has like a 0.1% death rate. This $hit has a death rate around 3.4%. The 34 year old doctor that first sounded the alarm in China died I believe as well. This isn't just an old person concern or some hoax unfortunatly.

The media and goverment should alerting the population with facts, not this mixed messaging crap we are getting and we should have already had millions of test like some of these other countries had developed so we really know how bad it is.

I certainly hope it turns out to be overblown but this should concern everyone.

You don't just build a hospital in 6 days and spray streets like this for nothing IMO and seeing stuff like that is what concerns me of how bad it could get.

That Chinese doctor's death was alarming alright. You don't take on the Chinese government without consequence...

China is most definitely lying about there numbers also. You don't shutdown awhole country over a few thousand deaths. Even saw videos of some their people dropping dead in the streets.

Talk about an overreaction. The Coronavirus will be long gone by September.

I think the fear and panic allowed me to rebook my vacation flights in America at a substantial discount. I am looking into a cruise now for the suitable place, cost, and time.

I think precautions like hand washing, staying home if sick, minimizing crowd contact for the elderly, etc. are good habits because viruses are ever present.
