Because it's a patchwork response, but getting into that would turn this into a spinroom discussion. Movies can be literally cancelled the morning they are going to be shutdown ... the MAC tournament needed a bit more forward planning.

And anyone going to vote in a primary, wear a N95 face mask, don't touch your face until after you are back home and have washed your hands, and wash your hands when you get home like you have been cutting jalapenos for nachos and now you need to take your contacts out.

But the sports question is which teams will this help and which teams will this hurt?

Are people who recover from a cold still infectious? It's still a coronavirus, even if its one that attacks the lungs instead of nasal passages and its one humans have not been exposed to before.

Even Sicily has average temperatures of 50 degrees in March. Lombardy, where it's harder hit, is much further north and is colder.

... but if those do not agree, or else if they do agree but they agree that it's Akron, well, in that case, we'll never truly know.

The MAC trophy was presented to Akron. The players posted it on their social media accounts earlier.

Akron being crowned champ is not nearly as controversial as CMU's girls who lost a few games late and we're already booted from the conference tourney. Both Akron and CMU had the best seasons though and deserve the award as they did the regular season title.

I dont think whoever got the trophy this year would really feel like it was a championship unfortunately. Such a blow to these student athletes that worked their tails off all year

Like I said, unless they were consensus regular season champs and top NET team and top power ranking team and also not Akron, we will never know who the team truly deserving of the banner truly is.

Yeah, it's an unfortunate circumstance. I thought this was the best built Akron team, besides the pre-Abreu suspension team, to make a potential run in the tourney. Obviously they would have still had to of won the MAC tourney, which certainly wasn't a give me. Akron's main weakness all season was not having a bench, but they were getting much better bench production those last 3 games.

Nothing could match the disappointment of programs like Dayton, San Diego St, Creighton, etc. They had a legit chance to be in the Final 4 and win it all. That won’t come around every year for certain programs.

Good point, particularly SDSU, cant imagine being a fan of that program

Steinbrecher was on the Cleveland sports talk radio this morning. I didn't personally listen to it, but someone on the Zips board did and shared these few tidbits on the Akron forum. I figured it would be worth sharing.

Steinbrecher is on 92.3 The Fan with Baskin & Phelps right now. He said that conversations are being teed up about granting an extra year of eligibility. He said spring sport athletes will be an easier argument for that, while winter sport athletes will be a more difficult discussion due to them playing a full season and only missing the postseason.

All MAC recruiting activities have been suspended (he's hoping the NCAA puts a blanket ban on recruiting activities). Formal practices of any kind are not allowed, while voluntary activities are.

Also mentioned that alterations would have had to been made to MAC Tourney if it would have been played. They were allowing 120 people per institution, but Dewine banned gatherings of 100+.
