UT Golf 2019
Rockets W Golf schedule announced, including the first Glass City Invitational @ Inverness

https://utrockets.com/news/2019/7/22/wom...edule.aspx

Quote:The Glass City Invitational field includes four schools – Florida, Illinois, Northwestern and Virginia - that advanced to the 2019 NCAA Championships and five more – Baylor, Furman, Michigan State, Ohio State and Texas A&M - that qualified for last year's NCAA Regionals. In addition, seven participating teams were ranked in the top 30 of Golfstat's final rankings. Also joining the Rockets in the event are Coastal Carolina, Michigan, South Florida and Wisconsin.

Wow, that's a heck of a field coming to play in Toledo. Looks like the new coach is making an effort to upgrade the Rockets' schedule, which hopefully will turn out to be a good thing.

Sound like good recruits, hopefully those records translate to college play. Rockets fall season was not good. After typically being ranked well inside the top 100 in the college rankings, UT is now at 204. Hopefully the new coach can turn things back around, but we will see.

RE: UT Golf 2019
Have held off on posting about WG, but given the despair over the basketball teams, might as well commiserate.

Results from playing in the Florida State match-up.

Very tough field with several ranked teams, and they had an illness with one of the golfers, but to finish 67 strokes behind the 2nd-to-last team? Wow. The downhill slide after Hollingsworth left was fast and steep. They do have what look like some highly regarded signees from Asia for next year (assuming they can get here through the corona virus screenings) so there is some hope, but...
