James A. Rhodes arena is the place for this evening’s contest. The game is scheduled to tip at 6:30 and will be broadcast on CBSSN. It appears that Kent will return home on Monday regardless of tonight’s outcome. It also appears that CJ Williamson will not make the trip this evening.

Regardless of what happens tonight, I always think
how quick the few days are before the Tournament.
Just remember 2017.

If it were up to me, I'd rest Pippen ( knee that requires surgery as soon as season is over and gimpy ankle), Roberts (groin), and Simons (lingering cold or flu) so they will be more ready for Monday. That still gives them 10 presumably healthy, active players. Heck, they probably wouldn't win anyway if any and all of those three play at less than 100%.

I think you are going to see something to that effect. Maybe not to the extreme of sitting everyone but I could definitely see a significant reduction in minutes for some. In reality, this game means nothing, and at WORST you enter the post-season with a record of 4-4 against the top four seeds.

Enjoyable basketball. The perimeter players are getting the post players involved. The Golden Flashes are making an effort on the glass.

That was a good first half. Well played both ways and even officiating. I'm not used to this.

So no whistle despite sounding like a whistle blown, and then that BS foul on the other end? Ok...

If I hear it’s a rivalry game again I might go insane! Stop it!

Got his arm hooked and drug by one defender and pushed by the other.

The CBS sports announcers are the least knowledgeable announcers in America. The BS foul on Pippen that was reviewed was not to see if it was a foul (you can't do that). Nor was it to see if there was a flagrant on Pippen... It clearly wasn't. They were reviewing to see if it was a hook and hold on Riak... And it was really close. Also they said Kent needed to foul before the ball got inbounded... That's free throws and possession so that's the last thing they needed to do. Last week they called Williams 5'8". They are really really hard to listen to.

It was an exciting game. I did think the end was tarnished with some pretty horrendous officiating. The sequence where it was tied with under 2 to go and they called a weak touch foul on Williams then held their whistle when he drew a ton of contact on his drive at the other end was crucial. It almost seemed like the refs got into a back and forth of make up calls late in the game. I thought the 3 point foul call on Simons shot was a terrible bailout. I also thought allowing Sendy to draw up a play without a timeout was real bad. I know one of the refs in this one has been involved in some very controversial games in the last few years. I can tell you why. Not because he's a "****** cheater" as one Big10 coach accused last year. It's because he is bad at his job.

Anyways, it was a good game. I didn't think the refs cost us the game. If we play like that we can go far in the tournament. And I certainly don't mind being on the opposite side of the bracket from Akron.

I've never seen that team get such a cheap win. The foul calls were extraordinarily lopsided. The scoreboard was enough proof for that.
Then that fan that blew a whistle. )If you were watching at home, Phil stopped playing resulting in a TO.) That's a tech! They even announced a warning about that after play stopped. That resulted in points for the Ak.

I don't think a tech is the right call there. If that's a tech then you could have false flag attempts to help your own team out. I'm thinking probably either they stop play if there's clear possession or a jump ball if it's a loose ball. Just playing on seems like the wrong thing to do though.

Game at Eastern is a sure thing. Our worst pairing for sure.
