I’m sure no one on here other than Tulsa fans watched that game but it was one of those games where anything ASU threw up went in. At one point an ASU player was literally falling out of bounds at the end of the shot clock and threw the ball in the direction of the basket and it ended up going in as a line drive three pointer. Everyone has a game like that occasionally. OOC the one that hurt is UT-A, it was a road game the second game of the season and the guys were still trying to come together as a team.

The games that really hurt us from an at-large standpoint are the UConn and UCF games. UConn was up three points on us when Brandon Rachal went down with an ankle sprain. He missed the UCF game in Florida and while he came back against Tulane he’s just now getting to about 90% healthy. If TU could have pulled out those two conference games we would be 23-7 (15-2) with a net in the upper 40s or lower 50s and right in the middle of the bubble conversation.

No doubt every team has a bad game but you guys had three bad losses to non-P7 schools. It still baffles me how you can lose to Arkansas St, Colorado St and UTA and then win our conference. Makes no sense.

The team we have right now is not the same team we had in November/December. We had multiple transfers and we run a zone D. It took a while for things to gel.

Thats my concern. Im concerned Tulsa, a team with some really bad losses, winning a share of the league championship may affect the leagues perception on the committee when those at large bids are being decided on.

Like someone buying a lot next door to you in your moderately upscale neighborhood and putting a single-wide on it.

Ignore the haters, Tulsa. They always be jealous of the flagships!

Says the fan of the team that is leaving...because their fans "can't get excited" by playing schools like Tulsa.

That's a possibility, but the AAC's OOC record was strong enough to make the AAC the #7 conference. While some teams' OOC records weren't great, others were quite good.

The selection committee will probably note that there was considerable parity among the top 6-7 AAC teams, some of whom had good OOC records, an indication that there were half a dozen good teams, rather than that there were none.

I'm just glad we'll get less flack from conference fans for not having won a conference title in a revenue sport (fb, mbball). Even if it was a tie.
