Whereabouts on Lake Martin? My parents have a place there and I’m getting married there in May.
Still Waters, east side just north of Blue Creek.
That’s 5 minutes by boat from my parents’ place. I can see Chuck’s Marina from our doc.
Yes, you are close. Probably closer by water than by land. Is there a pizza and sandwich place there on the water next to Chuck's? I think so, and I think we've been there for lunch.

Nah. I find Atlanta summers quite pleasant. Sometimes even miss being hot
Happy for you. I really never found Atlanta to be much better. In particular, I've always lived in places around the Houston area where I get good breezes, and Atlanta always seemed dead still to me.
What Atlanta has over Houston is that Atlanta is 1000 feet above sea level.
Yes and that make it less humid and sticky. But I've been in Houston long enough now that I get used to the breeze and miss it when it's not there.
That's what ceiling fans are for. Or water misters. Create your own breeze.

Yep, it’s called Chuckwalla’s Pizza. It’s only open during lake season. They often have live music playing on the weekends and we can hear it from our dock.
