Has Warren run for President before this time?

No she hasn't, not to mention when has failing stopped anyone Biden failed 2 times spectacularly, in 88 for being busted plagiarizing speeches and in 08 he never registered at all. The calculation she has to make from her selfish perspective is where can she gain the most from? The establishment/centrist wing of the party does not trust her, and the Bernie wing at the moment does not trust her but a year ago pretty much loved her. This sorta middle path between the 2 she went for as we've seen has a general base of support of like 10% of the party so that clearly doesn't work. Which side could she actually carve out a niche for in the future?

RE: Fauxcahontas OUT
She's a savvy politician. Becoming an "enemy" of a movement that is proving it can't win elections isn't the worst thing in the world. What would be worse is endorsing and becoming a lackey of someone that is set to lose back-to-back primaries, and what that would mean for her in 2024.

I say the odds are 70% biden, 30% sanders. She may even be in line for a VP slot with biden, who knows.

Biden says he is picking a woman. Klobuchar gets him nothing, Harris has been strangely silent since dropping out. Gabbard would get him nothing, likewise with Gillibrand. Even he isn't senile enough to pick Abrams. The only female governor that might help him is Whitmer of Michigan.

To appease the Bernie Bros and the uber progressive left, I think Bernie is going to have to get a veep candidate that is to the left of him. Kamala may fit this bill, but the justice reform people hate her due to her time as a prosecutor. Whitmer is billed as a moderate, however as the governor of Michigan she could help the Dems in their attempts to take back the state Trump took by a slim margin in 2016.

Warren should be wise to back Bernie. They both are fighting on the same team.

Problem right now is the lane she occupies has like 10% of the party nationally. This sorta in between attracts almost no one, so little support she got dragged by both sides in her home state. The "establishment" wing is never going to fully trust her and will always view her as Bernie-light, and if she stabs Bernie in the back that 25-30% hardcore group will revile her forever. More I think about it the more I think it's 50% she endorses no one, 30% Bernie, 20% Biden. Tying yourself to the senile corpse of Slow Joe is not a good plan he's going to implode on a debate stage shortly, and Biden will not pick her as VP.

Problem is they missed their window to "appease" the uber left in 2016. It can't be done now. Warren would have been the answer to that issue in 2016, but Hillary incorrectly assumed that base would complain for a while and then fall in line at the end.

She might as well be out. Don't understand why she is still plugging away with her one delegate from American Samoa.

Disagree. I think she’s anti-Biden more than she’s anti-Sanders.

Note: Warren was one of the last (might have been the very last) Dem. Senator to endorse Hillary! in 2016.

That's true, but she also didn't endorse Bernie. I think she is anti-Biden at her core, but she is very clearly pro what will advance her political career above all else. Bloomberg is a factor in this. If he wasn't now essentially the main funding arm of the Biden campaign I think the odds are extremely high she'd either endorse Biden or endorse no one.

True to the bolded part, for sure.

This is the woman who fabricated being a Native American to help her get into Harvard Law School, then never corrected it until she got caught decades later.

Same woman who changed her story about being getting fired for being pregnant, b/c she thinks it makes her sympathetic.

Same woman who guzzled a beer on social media to make her seem more like one of the common folks.

And so on...

P.S. I really dislike a lot of politicians. It's such a crap business...

So now we will get to see with nowhere for Slow Joe to hide can he be on a debate stage for 2 hours without wetting himself? I have the odds very low. The moderators will try to help him as much as possible, but he's gonna have to talk for a few minutes at a time off script and he can't do that.

Now we see who she really is with what she does with her endorsement.

Is it party over principle? Does she align with her progressive side and endorse Bernie? Very curious to see.

Oh for sure she's a snake and not to be trusted for a second. I just truly think it's an open question which direction she goes helps her more long term. I also absolutely know beyond a shadow of a doubt she hates Bloomberg with every fiber of her being, and I have to believe him now openly endorsing Biden and basically funding him going forward will make it harder for her to endorse Biden. Maybe she weighs the pros and cons and can swallow being on the same side as Bloomberg, but the most real thing I've ever seen from her was her attacking that piece of trash and destroying him on the debate stage. She legit wanted to choke him, you can't fake that level of hate. It's why it worked so well and was by far her best moments in the entire campaign, because there was no doubt she meant every damn word she was saying about him.

Really? A politician drinking a beer to seem relateable is something to demonize her over? There are a thousand worse things done by a thousand other candidates. Talk about shifted standards.

Using a false heritage narrative to further your career... fine, have at her.
Using a false discrimination narrative to further your campaign... fine, have at her.

But drinking a beer? If you've criticized other candidates for doing something similar, post away a link and shut me up. Otherwise... what a weirdly lame and specific reason to mock a candidate. It's comments like that that have her base fired up over different standards for different candidates.

You know, I don't think it matters. Peeps who are likely to vote for Joe will do so, as long as he makes fog when he speaks into a mirror. The whole world already knows he is gaffe prone.

Just like Trump supporters overlook his tendency to swat flies with cannons, and call everything the best, biggest, most super duper...

I think she is plugging for a VP slot in a 3rd party. She's already said she wouldn't run for her House seat again. DNC was lining up a bunch of money to primary her.

Get outta here. I'm not a Trump supporter. I just think she's fake, regardless of party, and that's another example. She asked her husband if he would like a beer, and it was apparent he was surprised, lol. And she stuck her face right up in the camera to suck that beer.

Without all the other things she has lied about, I would never think that, but...she has obviously lied about her resume a lot. Context.

I simply dislike fake people, especially politicians.

Plus, it's my freaking opinion. I don't have to justify it to you by digging up other posts. If I posted every time I disagreed with one of your opinions here, I would have to hire a secretary.
