Our Lady Huskies 9-18 overall 5-11 MAC hosts Ball State 20-8 overall and 12-4 MAC in their last regular season home game tonight. Ball State upset Central Michigan last Saturday to give the Lady Chips their first conference loss of the season while our Lady Huskies were beat at Western Michigan. Oshlynn Brown is Ball State’s leading scorer at 13.6ppg and the second leading rebounder in the MAC at 9.6rpg. It is the last regular season home game for our 5 graduating seniors so it would be nice to send them out with a win before a large appreciative home crowd. Heading into the last week of the regular season standings in both divisions. WEST...CMU 15-1 Ball St 12-4 WMU 9-7 EMU 9-7 Toledo 6-10 NIU 5-11......East...Ohio 10-6 Kent St 10-6 Buffalo 7-9 Akron 7-9 Miami 4-12 Bowling Green 2-14......Overall I would say the conference as a whole is down this year. Just my opinion but CMU even at 15-1 is not as good as they have been in recent years and MAC teams that are traditionally strong like Toledo-Miami-Buffalo just have struggled this year. Because of that if our Huskies can get hot next week they could win a couple of games and make things interesting in Cleveland. Good luck!

NIU and Toledo tied---split the season series. Within the division (tiebreaker two I believe) NIU was 3-7; Toledo 2-8. NIU 8 seed, Toledo 9.

I'm sure that Toledo and Akron are probably fairly solid picks to win on Saturday, but it is still possible, right????

Thanks HOF....still a minor pipe dream, but just may venture down Monday if it happens. (and really Toledo's upset of Central Michigan may help us if they let down perhaps like Ball State....in either case if we beat Toledo we are ahead of them....in really hinges on Bowling Green somehow upsetting Akron).

Thanks for the update looks like a road game. Either way I think a victory or 2 is possible obviously they are gonna have to play like last night to make that happen.

Thanks Spook---appreciate the update---not sure if the tiebreakers that I was able to find online were current or not. If so, we would finish ahead of Toledo with a win and ahead of Akron if they lost. (and that's only if I deciphered them correctly). Poor Toledo just got place in the wrong division...5-1 against the east; 2-7 against the west heading into Saturday against us.
