memphis gets 4th based on tie breaker
(is that right?)
It looks like the tiebreaker rules for the AAC would be head to head, then record vs. #1, then vs #2, etc...
So, if we win vs. Wichita tonite, we've have split with them. 2nd tiebreaker would be record vs. #1 team. If #1 ends up being Tulsa, then Wichita gets #4 if they beat Tulsa on Saturday (Wich 1-1 vs. Tulsa, we are 0-1 vs Tulsa). If Wichita loses to Tulsa, then we win tiebreaker vs. Wichita, assuming we win @ Houston.
However.... If we lose @ Houston (but beat Wichita), SMU wins @ USF, and Wichita loses to Tulsa (and to us), there is a 3-way tie with 3 teams at 10-8. Looking at wins among the 3 tied teams: We would only have 1 win (vs. Wichita), while both SMU would have 2 (vs us), and Wichita would have 2 (vs us & SMU). So we have to beat both Wichita & Houston, or we are playing on Thursday.
It looks like Tulsa, Houston & Cincinnati are all guaranteed 1st round byes, and seeds #4-#7 will be determined on Saturday.
