Huskies 20 minutes away from a first round bye, but MAC West championship will be decided Friday. Huskies will at least be co-champs if they can hold on here! Best half of basketball all year

Let the record show I’m giving MM props for drawing up that scoring play that worked with .2 of a second in the half! LOL

Great first half for the Huskies. Littleson missing a lot of shots helped us out.

An amazing play, not sure I have ever seen that type of play work before. Rockets shooting 22 percent from the field, good grief

If Huskies can hold onto this lead, Ball State and NIU will play for the 3rd and 4th seeds. Which one of these schedules from a players standpoint would be more desirable in terms of back to back schedules

4 seed

Quarterfinals 2:30pm
Semifinals 6:30pm

3 seed

Quarterfinals: 8:30pm
Semifinals: 9:30pm

An NIU 16 point lead is more like a 22 point lead for an average defensive team at least

Even though its a longer break between days, Id prefer the two night games, probably easier to get into a routine.

Forget about seeding etc and pay some attention to LACY JAMES. He is having a career game on defense.

Toledo has had about 15 wide open threes that are just not falling tonight. This is one of the two Toledo personalities. We don't play D so it's impossible to win on poor shooting nights.

Tonight was a weekday night that was totally worth the drive. Regardless if there was only about 400 people, that was FUN to see in person. The huskies where styling on them towards the end, geno hitting spin move lay ups, 33 foot three pointers, alley oops. It was all there and clicking tonight! Not to mention that awesome play Monty drew up with .2 on the clock.

I wont blame NIU for running up any score or style points, Toledo was pressing in the backcourt pretty hard and when you break that press it opens up odd man breaks. So I blame the Rockets for the score getting out of hand!

Oh I’m not complaining lol, also good to see the huskies handling the press better too now. I remember early in the season they REALLY struggled with that, and maybe it was just me but I swear teams started pressing us really early when they where down. Must’ve seen tape and realized we sucked at it.

This is what I find astonishing as well. There were two fouls that should have been called in the 2nd half last night and the last one (around 4 minutes to play in the game) was a blatant slap on the arm that could be heard throughout the arena (and was easily seen) but they didn't call it and instead called it a shot clock violation after the ball went out of bounds.

There wasn't a person there that didn't hear and see the foul but, as usual, it went uncalled.

I almost get the feeling officials fall into the trap of thinking German driving to basket is a desperation play for NIU with no other options offensively and get hesitant to make the call much like a hesitation to call a desperation play where someone takes a 3, draws someone in the air, and then initiates contact.
