Marcus Sasser, G, Houston
Sasser helped lead the Cougars back into a tie for first place in The American standings with 21 points and six rebounds in Houston’s 68-55 win over Cincinnati. The freshman had five big 3-point field goals in the Cougars’ win.
Honorable Mention
Precious Achiuwa, Fr., F, Memphis
Achiuwa averaged 19.5 points and 14.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Tigers. He recorded 22 points and 22 rebounds in an overtime win at Tulane.
