New Basketball Tradition?
Watching the streamers being thrown one more time at the last games for the boy's and girl's games was pretty cool.

Why not make that a new tradition in the AUB and throw streamers at the conclusion of every game we win. Throw rocks if we lose. j/k

Will the admin permit such chaos? I mean they’d have to clean up the mess and it might cover up that UVA logo ...

Tongue in cheek, but this tradition thrived when we had leaders that were far more permissive and supportive of a vocal and “crazy” fanbase. Hope they will adjust their viewpoints and rules in the AUB.

Cool idea but I think it might be a little too risky to trust fans with that in basketball. Flashbacks to a hot dog playing a pretty huge role in a loss to George Mason.

Then, the rules would be that anyone who throws one prematurely, everyone around that person has to punch them, point them out and ban them for the rest of the season. That should do it.

lmfao alright I'm on board. Maybe they should just use metal folding chairs in the AUBC just for good measure. 04-chairshot

Not sure if that would float. Look at close games like the Men's final were they were thrown with time on the clock.

Think of this situation - we're playing VCU down 2 and hit a 3 with 1 second left on the clock. The streamers fly, and we get a technical.

Here's a tradition change I would like to see with the new Arena.

Fan's stand until the other team scores.

I can't tell you how much I use to hate standing for the first 5 minutes will the other team was piling up the points on us. I wouldn't mind standing up all the way to a 15-0 lead.

You guys are actually planning for traditions for basketball? Keep shooting for the sky! (Only kidding. Wish we were so lucky to get a new arena)

Isn't there a pill for premature streaming?

Can you come up with something a little more attainable?

Jmu can control the streamers- give them out with 10 seconds left with the game secured.

Drexel does it after every win. Drexel got called for a technical at a WBB game in a 20 point over Delaware when the streamers were thrown out prematurely when a foul was called with 1 second left. But the streamers come from the President Suite and are only handed out if the game is in hand to avoid the possibility of a technical foul that could cost your team the game.

Won't be a problem for us, our president designed his new suite and it's facing the wrong direction.

Actually when I take that pill, I have postmature streaming, and then some.

Key word shouldn't. It happens. We all know the quality officials the CAA gets.
