Our Road Warriors

This picture is one of many they take after road wins.

It served tonight for me as a reminder that these are just a bunch of goofy college kids.
They play hard and represent the University well.

As long as they do that I have vowed personally to no longer publicly criticize them.

Are the turnovers frustrating? Yes
Do they make a lot of mistakes? For sure
This season could have come crashing down around them at several points yet they keep battling. I am sure none of them expected it to go like this.

Yet, They seem to be having fun and enjoying playing games with each other while all the adults around the city are whining and crying like this is the worst season ever. Maybe they have it right and the rest of us are wrong.

When I look at them I can't help but smile.

Tyler and Lester up front happy...

Alo is always shirtless or half shirtless...kid thinks he is 6'8 270

What they hell is Lance doing?

Precious does look a little dour...maybe just tired from putting up 22 and 22.

Im not here to tell anyone about their "fandom"... to each his own.

But remember that these kids are human and are going through a learning process and they are "our" Tigers.

RE: Our Road Warriors
It looks as if the Tiger team had as much fun in New Orleans as I did. This is a great place to visit and winning in overtime last night put the icing on the cake.

I told a Tulane fan after the game "It's OK, Tulane fans are used to losing". My friends told me that was an ugly thing to say. But, the lady had just told me that she was there to see her daughter perform in their Pom squad, so I don't think she was too involved in the game.

Look like a beautiful day dawning in the Big Easy. Got to get over to Mother's for breakfast and then catch the train back to Mempho.

Youngest team in America

Without a preternatural expected talent and with a 10 point guy still out

Great things coming. Hopefully Thursday!

Well said!

Players will improve. Shots will fall. Here’s to having a big time run at the AAC tournament.

Lets win some, get some experience, let the rotation occur that needs to and will.

Then let's do this again next year... I can't wait.

Even though we may not have the talent level next that we have this year year I'm looking forward to Penny abandoning his NBA style and getting back to basics. Hopefully he's figured out that trying to build a program around one player can be a recipe for disaster if that player gets injured or decides to quit.

Not having signed anyone yet is a bit concerning but maybe if he's unable to sign another 5 star recruit he'll go after some high level juco's or settle for highly coachable 3 or 4 stars who aren't necessarily one and done players. While I get the attraction of such players I'm not sure it's a great formula for a solid team year in and year out.

That said I love Penny and hope he builds a program here that will succeed consistently and that he's our coach for as long as he wants to be.

I think we could use a couple of grad transfers.
