Our Lady Huskies 9-17 overall 5-10 MAC are at WMU 15-11 overall 8-7 MAC this afternoon. WMU won the first meeting between the 2 clubs 68-65 2 weeks ago at the Convo. Western’s Breanna Mobley leads the MAC in rebounding. Next to last regular season road game it would be nice to keep some momentum going after our win against EMU and get a road victory. Good luck Lady Huskies!

RE: WBB @ Western Michigan University 1:00 ESPN 3
Would like to see Northern reach some tangible positives this season, and that makes today's game huge. Big positive is an "extra" home game/home court advantage starting the MACT. Of course, we'd all like to see them go further than Round 1, but one thing at a time.

Northern needs to be seeded #8. Of the remaining three games, WMU is currently #5 if MACT were seeded today. Ball State and Toledo also have better records, but with the Rockets at 6-9, a win over Toledo is doable. (Ball St. is a stretch, but the game is at NIU; big crowd might help). The only problem is Toledo is AT Toledo, where they usually draw good crowds (= home court advantage). But assuming wins in 2 of 3, that would put NIU at 7-11 with a chance at a #8 seed.

Lot of IFS, but the three right above NIU are all 6-9. If 2 drop below Northern, and Miami-O (also could finish 7-11) loses one, the #8 seed belongs to the Huskies.

Here's where it sits right now:

CMU 15-0
Ball St. 11-4
Ohio 10-5
KSU 9-6
EMU 8-7
WMU 8-7
Akron 6-9
Buffalo 6-9
Toledo 6-9
NIU 5-10
Miami-O 4-11
BGSU 2-13

Thanks for the info and yes it would be nice to get a big crowd at that last game.

Woods not playing well today. Let the freshman play more minutes. Season is pretty much over already.
