Kent State @ Ohio University
The Golden Flashes will be at the Convocation Center in Athens tonight for a must win affair against Bobcats. The game will be broadcast on CBSSN and is scheduled to tip at 6:30PM.

It is senior night in Athens and the Bobcat faithful will be honoring Sylvester Ogbonda and Jordan Dartis. Both seniors are having nice seasons for Ohio with Dartis averaging 13 per game and Ogbonda pulling down about 7 boards per. The story for the Bobcats, though, revolves more around a youth movement. Their roster features 7 freshman, 3 sophomores and a junior.

Here's to hoping that many of the OU faithful will attend tonight's club hockey game or take in some OHSAA basketball in and around the tri state area.

Jesus, the guy's whole foot was inside the arc. How do they not review that?

Nice looking crowd tonight. Kent State looks to travel well from what I'm seeing. Went a couple weeks ago to the BG game and it was dead.

Flagrant 2 on Pippen seemed a bit excessive when they only called a common foul earlier in the game on Ohio. I guess an elbow to the chest is worse than an elbow to the face.

The common foul you're referring to was switched to a foul on the Kent player getting elbowed in the face after a review.

That 5 point play is a killer. I thought if there was a foul while a shot was in the air and it went in it was an and one?

Cleveland. Please remind me that mediocrity is okay. I need my mediocre fix and you sell the best $hit out there. I admit I’ve been watching this game. Why? I don’t know. But please. Remind me not to overthink.

It's Athens man. Remember the 8 free throw play to end a game during Q and Scott's Sr year? Crazy stuff gets called down there.

8-8, you can't get any more mediocre than that.

Not to worry. We only have to play the 1st and second place teams to end the season.

I'm past worrying, Burden. I gave up on this season a few weeks ago. Lots to look forward to next season.

Jeff Boals reminding me how much I hated him when he worked for Dambrot. Guy’s a tool.

Lack of character & self-discipline is the downfall of this team. Need to recruit better.

Lack of discipline, lack of self discipline.
Is anyone held accountable?
Is anyone in charge?

Not sure how the tiebreakers would shake out, but looks like Kent could still end up on the road for the MAC Tournament with 2 losses.

Only guaranteed to finish above EMU, WMU, and Miami

I've waited to decide if this was a good or bad team. We're a bad team. Our seniors were barely ready in the non-conf schedule. Now they're invisible. I wish I'd agree that next year looks promising. The way this staff develops players has me worried about the future of the program. Our seniors disappeared since January.

Mediocrity is becoming a disease at Kent State. Women’s golf an exception of course. Some hope for women’s basketball (depending on how the season ends), baseball and maybe men’s golf (I sense decline here but haven’t given up yet).
