MI joins several other states in ruling governor overstepped

EDIT:
“We conclude that the Governor lacked the authority to declare a ‘state of emergency’ or a ‘state of disaster’ under the EMA after April 30, 2020, on the basis of the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, we conclude that the EPGA is in violation of the Constitution of our state because it purports to delegate to the executive branch the legislative powers of state government-- including its plenary police powers-- and to allow the exercise of such powers indefinitely," wrote Justice Stephen J. Markman in the majority opinion.

When they pull the mask mandate, businesses in Michigan will suffer. This now puts the enforcement on the store owner which is going to incredibly difficult with all of the "freedom loving" folks running around.

You have it backwards. Businesses have already suffered or continue to suffer due to her nonsensical, un-constitutional emergency orders. That's why nearly every industry was against them.

The mask mandates won't go away. Those are pretty universal on the national level. The nonsensical mandates will go

Note though: they ruled that the Orders themselves were fine, but the governor enforcing them the way she did wasn't. That's why you're seeing every county and state health department coming out issuing their own "the right way"

"However, given high mortality despite the use of remdesivir, it is clear that treatment with an antiviral drug alone is not likely to be sufficient for all patients. Current strategies are evaluating remdesivir in combination with modifiers of the immune response. A variety of therapeutic approaches including novel antivirals, modifiers of the immune response or other intrinsic pathways, and combination approaches are needed to continue to improve outcomes in patients with Covid-19."

Looks like we are going to have to continue to settle for singles and doubles on the treatment front.

What? No, I got called an idiot in a rating by this board nimrod 14 guy, found a bunch of his posts and I'm seeing who the idiot is now. This thread is a great read. Some people couldn't have been more crazy with their takes, including some of yours.

Sorry, but if you hate Trump so much, grow-up and stop emulating him.

November is coming...maybe.

Acknowledging the administration has and continues to completely f*** this up, is not "politicizing". It is a fact of life that will have very negative consequences.

What has the administration done to “F this up”? Lol

The beer flu was way past the point of containment back in December. All we can do now is slow the spread by social distancing and the most important part, STAYING HOME IF SICK! Testing is useless at this point, majority of us will get it eventually. There are 100s of thousands if not millions infected as we speak, herd immunity will be here in a few months.

MidwayIcer -- Let me give you some advice: disregard Bronco'14. I have been on these forums for over 25 years. I have never once been rated an idiot by anyone who I've had a couple exchanges with until now. This speaks VOLUMES to his character.

Good advice.

It's the same for me. I haven't been around for 25 years. But, the only negative rating I have is from Bronco'14.

I've been given similar wise advice from Sup on a number of occasions in the hockey forum: Just ignore Bronco'14.
