OT (maybe) - water line break in Houston
There was a huge water line break in east Houston today (Clinton and the 610 Loop I believe). I read where that water line provides for perhaps 50 percent of the water supply in the city of Houston. And now I just saw where HISD is shutting down schools tomorrow due to the break.

Any issues on the Rice campus with water tonight?

Just curious - we're fine south of the campus out in the suburbs.

Ellen Pierce posted on the Rice-fan Facebook Group (Let's be honest: we can't get a million fans for Rice University) this image of a memo to "Campus Colleagues" from Rice's Facilities and Planning office:

They cancelled evening classes, but expect everything to be back to normal tomorrow morning.

How in the heck does something like this get that bad before somebody shuts it off? Parts of 610 are under water and houses are flooded. This is like a mini-Harvey.

The good news is the hamburgers and hot dogs for tonight's game have been ready for a couple of weeks.
