Don't forget they 'dug up' another old schooler to win the tournament trophy… not to mention set up a possible WM showdown match.

Well Roman Reigns VS Goldberg will probably sell some tickets, merch and network buys.

Oldberg is a joke. Can't even execute a jackhammer safely. Can't believe they blew the Fiends momentum on a work to Oldberg.

They could have made it so much more interesting. The Fiend needed someone (to play his shrink) to expose a psychological weakness before being defeated.

WWE s creative is terrible. They screwed over their hottest ticket so RR wouldn't catch heat winning the title.

Short sighted as always.

WWE has gotten some push back for using kids in the fiend storyline. And to be honest there is no newer talent that can carry the company right now. Even with them pushing NXT hard by the use of Raw and Smackdown talent.

I think Keith Lee is less than a year away. By next WrestleMania, if used properly, he could be a headliner. Roman will NEVER be there, unless someone like Heyman takes over his promo. At least he can sell, but WWE as a whole is mostly clueless.

If you listen to Heyman discuss Goldberg's victory over Brock a couple of year's ago, you understand that they are doing the exact same thing again hoping for similar results. Unfortunately those puzzle pieces just aren't the same.

Brock was supposed to win that original matchup but Goldberg had injured himself in training and could not take the finishing move with out even more injury. So they felt it would be easier to let him get the win and then Brock come back and get revenge after the injury healed.

RE: Who's Next?
There is one thing about AEW which I do like better than WWE. That is cage matches. I always thought it was stupid that you put up a cage to keep it one on one and then you can win by getting out and running away.

That takes away from the entertainment of the performance to see such illogical behavior. Sort of like when you watch a show like MASH and one show Hawkeyes mom is alive and then next she is dead or how Margaret's dad comes back from the dead or how Potter was father time on new years eve a year before he arrived.

I can't believe you are surprised. Its the most unsurprising thing in the world to me.

WWE creative has been terrible for a long time now. OF course they are going to kill Brays run, just as they killed CM Punks run to have Cena-Rock as WM, or how they tried to kill Danial Bryan in favor of Roman, or how they killed Auska's run to get Charlotte into the Becky-Rousey match. We could all list about 20 other examples too.

Goldberg-Reigns will bring in some short term cash for WM but its a terrible move long term.

You have some very interesting examples there. If you think Charlotte beat Asuka a full year before the WM main event, then you are giving the WWE FAAAARRRR too much credit for being able to see into the future.

Now I do agree that WWE makes horrible moves at times because Vince has his guys and thinks he knows what sells. Goldberg's title pic had the most likes in WWE history, so Vince appears to know more than mot give him credit for.

That is flat out wrong. Paul Heyman openly discusses how it went down in his series Inside Ropes.

And if you watch the video, I totally agree with him... especially his take on Samoa Joe.

You are mixing things up there. She did beat Asuka at WM, but the next year Asuka had won the smack down belt and then suddenly dropped it to Flair right before WM last year. That was pretty much the end of Asuka as a single.

I guess you could say they squashed Asuks's run twice, but I was referring to the more recent one which was just to get Flair into the main event last year. It seemed stupid at the time to have ever put the belt back on Asuka at all if she was just going to instantly drop it and be forgotten.

See? It was so stupid and meaningless you even forgot she got the belt. I'm sure a lot of people have forgotten.

Very stupid booking.

You are correct. Although, I know Flair was inserted in the match prior to taking the belt, I honestly think they did it solely to have it as a winner take all match. For that matter, they could have easily made it a four way match, but having someone still slightly green like Rousey and dealing with Asuka's language barrier might've made it too unreasonable. Supposedly she was supposed to defend the belt at WM, but that was scratched the day before she lost it to Charlotte. I think Vince/bookers wanted to add as much heat as possible to the WM main event.

The WWE has almost never been consistent on how they book people. One of my favorites was Mark Henry. He was either pushed as unbeatable or was a total jobber. Almost zero in between. There have been very few (Goldberg being one) that have stayed consistent as a dominant force in the WWE. They are just too manic in decisions to keep a character for long term.

Well, they do have the defense that he just got destroyed by Brock, but it goes back to my statement. They clearly do not know how to keep a persona going. They will sacrifice a character that they have built up for months for a one week hit then try and go back like nobody noticed.

What kills me is that there are so many marks in the audience that just follow the cheers of the plants that the WWE pays to chant crap!

I think they don't want anyone to get over too much because then that talent has too much power and pull over them like Austin did 20 years ago.

Ever since he walked out that time they always cut a rising stars legs out and cut them down a peg or two.

No way they want anyone becoming bigger than the company.

really?! I think it was the exact opposite. The fact that Flair didn't come in an squash her like a grape showed her potential. It was much more of a compliment to B than insult.

What will be interesting is does Ripley get over on Flair at WrestleMania or does Flair become the NXT Women's champ?! In which case, she will either have to put over someone else or stay at NXT for a while. I guess you could have Bianca come in and get a DQ, which would settle the Flair issue and give conflict for R & B to fight in NXT... (sorry, couldn't resist)
