RE: 2020 Schedule Released
We have yet to demonstrate ability to slow down much less stop Babers' offense in three tries including once under previous regime when he was at BG.

Which also worries me a little about our game with Kent this fall.

Do you think we will beat Akron?

Of course I think we'll beat Akron.

Kent has Babers' former OC as their third-year HC, which is why I posted what I did.

Two different deals.

Also - did YOU notice Kent had the same record as we did last year?

Sean Lewis is impressive, he will land a bigger job soon.

If we can't beat KSU and/or Akron, it's gonna be 5-7 or worse.

I get KSU's supposed to be decent, but this team's gonna need to beat decent teams. Surely they're not better then Miami or Ohio?

And if memory serves... they actually won their bowl game.

Not sure who said it, but someone on here said 'if Lester can't beat a below-average Syracuse team in 4 tries, he's never beating a Power 5.' The time is now.

I just don’t see him beating Babers.

We are 1-3 against Babers and he knows our M.O. better than probably any coach outside the conference.

That said, the last two seasons we came pretty close. I don't understand the defeatism. We don't take that penalty sacking Dungey in 2018, we convert a late 4th and 1 in 2019, and I think we would have won those two games if those crucial moments went differently.

I would say the odds are against us, but Lester's teams have made those big plays to change a few games. We'll probably need to do that again this season and I expect another barn-burner.

2018 was a barn burner but 2019 was not, 33-52 loss is not a barn burner

It was 33-38 heading into the 4th. It was very similar to the USC game, we didn’t convert a critical 4th quarter drive to take the lead. Momentum is everything.
