Yes please! CM will likely be good again next year so the game @ a neutral site should help.

I just hope WM doesn't lose our game in Kalamazoo in 2021.

Is this related to renovations at CMUs place? Perhaps a priming for fans if they make it to Detroit later on in the season?

RE: CMU vs. WMU at Ford Field in 2020
CMU's main intention is for potential student outreach in the Detroit area. They had the largest enrollment percentage drop among all 15 MI public schools this academic year, so it's kind of a marketing thing.

CMU wanted WMU to enter a 4-year contract to hold the game at Ford Field. But WMU refused in that we didn't want to give up the economic impact the game has on the Kalamazoo community for that weekend.

Wouldn't that pretty much be a home game for EMU?

It's nice that they take that into consideration. NIU has no clue about stuff like that.

Question about the 2016 game at Guaranteed rate. Would that game have drawn as good against BSU or another MAC West team? Or would you have traded that game to have Toledo at home in October, yet get a worse crowd on the Southside?

On a Tuesday night it wouldn't have drawn well with any MAC team. And probably not with a lot of other teams either. We need to keep our games at Huskie stadium unless it's Iowa or Wisconsin etc. at Soldier Field.

Sniff the next MAC regular season game played there should be Toledo vs EMU as I have been saying this for awhile. Schedule it in cold November when the indoor environment is appreciated. Travel times for both fan bases is less than an hour, much less than it is for Central or Western.

Why should Toledo give up a home game? Unless it’s a mid week MACtion game, Toledo doesn’t have an attendance problem.

I'd be all for it if it was an EMU home game

UT and EMU at Ford Field would be fun. Do it on Saturday in November and I would be good giving up a home game. Book it

November for sure! Nice weather inside the dome.

It only makes sense for EMU to be the home team though. There is no sense to trade a Glass Bowl home crowd for such an event, Rynearson does not draw like that. This event also gives the City of Detroit a chance to show off and prosper on its new self, therefore only a Michigan taxpayer supported institution should be sacrificing anything.

I think EMU draws better than a lot of the league as we speak. Especially when Toledo is in town. Better than NIU, BSU, Akron, Kent, Miami, and BG over the past three seasons.

My point is do a two year cycle. Each team gives up a home game. Proximity does make it a valuable home date but a Saturday inside in November would make a huge difference in gate in comparison to a November Tuesday

Yes. The MAC and ESPN was forced to move the MACC game to Friday or Saturday as Thursday attendance was so bad.
